On Christmas at age eleven I wanted a Mongoose bike so bad. We opened up all the gifts and I didn't get one. I was still happy because it was Christmas but a little sad not getting the bike. My mom acted like she knocked her coffee over and needed a rag to clean up the mess. She said hurry and get me towel. Once getting to pantry stood before me a brand new Mongoose bike. 40 years later I still remember that day.

Notice how even though he is disappointed he is still respectful. There's another video of a kid who got a PS5 and was shitty about it because he wanted a gaming PC. I said I would have made him give it away to kids in need and people thought I was cruel. No. This is an example of good parenting. They didn't set up their kid to fail. They knew he could handle the frustration without lashing out. The kid passed the test.
