After all of that build up. he takes his hand off and rests his whole arm on the dog when he said 'chicken'.

When I was little, we had a Chihuahua who hated getting a bath. You could not say the word "bath" around her or she would hide under the bed. She was so smart that she eventually knew when we spelled b-a-t-h aloud that it meant bath and she'd hide under the bed then too.

And she's like, "Where? Where is the chicken?"

No joke, our dog eventually figured out the spellings.

That dog is going to learn to spell and then what will he do? I had a dog who would go nuts over the "f-word" (Frisbee). There would be no peace if you said it until you took her outside and threw it for her to catch until she was exhausted.

My Golden retriever was the same. We had to spell certain words.

This is Star. If I say the cat’s name she wakes up. If a cat silently pads through the carpetted room she will wake up. We had to change how we say chicken; it is now pronounced “chi-cone.

My Dog, knew all the words of the verb to “Go” - in Portuguese 😄 we had to speak In English. She knew the days of the week, my training clothes and shoes, suit cases and the habits of each person in the house ♥️ even sign language, when we where supposed to the be quiet 🤫😄

We can't say "dinner" in this house. Or "cheese." Or "breakfast." Or "out." Doing so turns our dog into a tornado. We had friends over and one of them asked "Y'all wanna go out for dinner? I feel like something with too much cheese on it." He didn't know. Now, he is afraid.

I can't say HUNGRY, PLAY, TOY or ROPE.

My dog won’t always come when she’s called but if I even spell w a l k she goes nuts. When I want the grandkids to take her for a walk, I say “You know who on a you know what” and now she understands that. But leave a gate open by mistake, she doesn’t know who I am.

I love listening to my dogs sleep- what a sweet sound. Give that pup some C-H-I-C-K-E-N. Wait. Why am I spelling?

My animals spell as well as the elementary school children in the family. Spelling only works for so long! 😂
