I like this perspective. I always thought of my family as immigrants, but they were homesteaders, living on undeveloped land. My father lived in a house with no running water or electricity. It was built by his father, literally built. They were settlers.

I totally agree with you, Sadie. My step father’s parents were immigrants from Germany. They came here and became citizens and learned to speak English. They loved this country. My Step father and his brother served in WW2 and his brother is buried in Arlington Cemetery. This is what immigrants are supposed to do. Contribute. I feel the very same. I am a legal Caribbean immigrant who went on to become a naturalized citizen at age 16, and further on, to serve this great nation in my 20s. Secondly, you can say "If we were all immigrants, how did that turn out for the native Americans?" Finally, Land is not first come first serve. There's also a letter racial connotations to asserting that it is first come first serve. If we're all just immigrants, but white people need to go home to Europe, what are lefties insinuating about all the Africans in Europe? If land was stolen by immigrants, are they saying that Africans need to go back to Africa because they are actively stealing from Europeans? Remember: The left's narratives are often internally and coherent and contradictory. Well said. I’m an immigrant too. I got educated here, I built businesses, create employment, and put my grain of sand in leaving things better than I found them. If someone doesn’t want to do that, they can go back to their home country until they learn to love and respect ours
