Lift manufacturer needs to be charged for supplying faulty lift....the door shud have opened up once it detected a obstruction

I am curious, lets say if the lift door closed...and then someone from outside press that button to call the lift...wouldnt it open the door? Worst case, lift will go down or up and open after reaching that floor....what am I missing?

It’s definitely elevators fault but also negligence of parents. Those kids shouldn’t be in lift without parents or guardian.

But this is dangerous. Never do it. The elevator can start moving. A daughter of my mom's coworker died that way. She got trapped and moved between several floors. 😭

Perhaps the sensor malfunctioned, causing the door to close. But what was the point of trying to brace it open? Just let the door close and then push the button on the outside to reopen it. That is how elevators work.

Sorry to say this, this is not brave move. Maximum, the lift may go up or down to other floors. But, if the lift started to move when she kept her leg there between doors, she will lose her leg permanently. This is not brave, this is idiotic.

There should be criminal negligence case against lift manufacturer. In a real country the lift manufacturer might have to be in millions, but in India everything is normal because of corrupt courts and govts.

She is undoubtedly brave, but it was an extremely risky move. If the lift had malfunctioned, putting her legs in between could have cost her life. The two children inside were comparatively safer and could have disembarked once the lift reached its designated floor.
