About 15/20 yrs ago the Right was whining & complaining how the Philippines & Indonesia were becoming Muslim areas, but when you looked closer it was the Muslim church bringing the less fortunate, water, food, clothing & even cash. It was an easy decision for those people. 💯

As a former church secretary, who was making minimum wage, I cannot tell you how many times I turned away people on Monday morning because I could not personally afford to give another dollar towards charity. How much did I get a month to meet community needs? $100.00 a MONTH

I had an infant trying to leave my abusive bf & was told to go to churches to put together a security deposit. 1 church gave me $100. Funnily enough $400 came from social services. Idk feels like trusting churches to take care of ppl in need isn’t actually best practice

i have attended church where random people would just drive up and ask for gas money. there are scammers out there who take advantage of churches. i believe the churches are aware of this and they guard themselves. if everyo e was honest, we wouldn't have that pro lem.

The logic of Western churches is you give us money? We sell God and salvation to you and you don’t question what we do with the money. It’s essentially a business they turned God into a business.

As a person who most of their family are preachers this is not all of them, but it is the vast vast vast majority of them. Christians in name only not in their actions.

My ex’s father owned a Spanish only church. All that money went into funding their lavish lifestyle. A pastor shouldn’t be able to own multiple investment properties.

Phone calls asking for money or things that cost money are usually scammy including this one and they are trying to Shield the churches money from such things

Churches have expenses and staff like any building and most offerings go to cover those expenses. Churches organize specific drives for community needs and Catholic orgs are 4 of the top 10 charities in the US. Thinking they're supposed to cover all needs is fallacious

The conservatives complaining are the exact same people who say that there shouldn't be a gov safety net (SNAP, medicaid, etc) because those activities should be left up to.... CHURCHES and charity organizations.

I can't speak for all churches, but there are many churches feeding the hungry. First, they take care of their church members, then they share what they can with the extended community. What churches is the perso a member of?

Churches already give to multiple charity ORGANIZATIONS, which is a much more efficient method than giving money to random people at the street corner. But don't let facts and logic disrupt your hate-sphere.

Every church in my town has a food pantry to help the needy. If you call a church, they will have to see you in person. They either ask you to come in to the office or they make a home visit. They cannot just help every person who calls them because people are liars

churches should not get tax exemption unless they can show a minimum off 85% of the money goes to charity work and i mean real charities not some BS they make up

I question all Churches that constantly preach about tithing but nothing new is ever built or any proof of funds being used for the church. It’s like anything else & some are good while others are bad.
