They have made suggestions to the Govt on what to do and how to avoid serious damage to the property and assets. Accordingly, the UK government initiated a lot of plans to avoid serious damage. Planning is very important.

See reality is they are cutting costs by ignoring drainages, they are just laying beautiful road, monsoon will come nngo n people will forget about it.

She has not given full picture, it is 10%. Why drains sizing calculated by engineers fail? 1) We have more silt than before due to intensity of the rain is increased. 2) Garbage, is worst for smooth flow. Often it is source of all obstruction 3) Illegal occupation on drain banks.

Apart from corruption this happens due to faulty designs and no research or survey by good engineers before floating tenders, engineers are deployed politically not on merit basis . This is happening everywhere .
