"My dad passed away two summers ago, and his old Irish setter, Ruby, still swims out from his dock every evening. 💔 This one broke me. I mean REALLY broke me. Margaret is 76 years old. Her health has been declining, and she reached the point where she could no longer safely live alone. Her doctor recommended assisted living. She found a place near her daughter that felt right. There was just one devastating problem: They don't allow pets. Teddy had been hers since he was 10 weeks old. For eight years, he was her companion. Her family tried to find someone who could take him. They asked neighbors, friends and coworkers. Nobody could. So Margaret took Teddy to the shelter herself. She brought his bed. His food bowl. His favorite treats. And she wrote a note explaining everything about him—what he likes, what scares him, that he sleeps with a blanket even in the summer, and that he likes sitting by a window in the afternoon. 😭💔 While Margaret filled out the surrender paperwork, Teddy pressed himself against her legs. To say this has been a month no one ever imagines is possible in life is an understatement Late June… we find out my wife’s father has the same version of lung cancer she has been fighting/beating and that he can’t handle treatment so he only has weeks to live. At the same time, we find out her cancer is back in her hip socket. Better than in 7 spots like before but still, back. So, the oncologist determines 5 rounds of radiation starting July 20th July 4th comes around and we spend as much time as we can with her dad, traveling down to Delaware every week, sitting on the porch, letting him smoke and talk about anything and everything.. telling us “In 75 years they’re still going to be talking about me.. you know why? Because of how I was always smoking in the alley, in the alley (in his best singing voice)” July 10th, phone rings around 9am… we already knew why.. dad was gone. Quietly, peacefully, at home. But still gone, from the exact cancer she just beat. A complete mindfuck. No way to explain, no explanations, just gone. She asks herself why could she beat it and he couldn’t even handle treatment? Some things, we will never know the why to. Fast forward to today. She completes her 5th radiation session on her hip and get to ring the bell as a sign of completion. But, it’s not the same. She used to call dad right after every session to let him know how it went. But today, there was no call. She fights through the tears to let him know she made it, she did it for him, and she will continue to fight for him, and never stop. Anyone who supports violence against women, honor culture, or the supremacy of Sharia over Western law has no place in the West. Anyone who blames her or claims she “brought it on herself” is consciously or unconsciously trying to deny the real threat. If you genuinely care about women’s rights and the future safety of your daughters, you cannot accept this as normal, inevitable, or something to joke about.

She called herself a proud socialist Democrat. Like so many young, college-educated women in blue cities, Barbie believed the world was divided between oppressors and oppressed. She marched for every progressive cause and found real meaning in the protests. The demonstrations filled her life with purpose and moral clarity. Even though she had never seriously studied the Israel-Gaza conflict, the passionate slogans against “occupation,” “oppression,” and “apartheid,” along with calls for “freedom” and “resistance,” sounded righteous to her. The emotional intensity of the activists made her feel she was on the right side of history, so she never asked difficult questions or looked deeper into the facts. Then she met him at a campus protest against Israel. He presented himself as a refugee who had suffered under Western imperialism. Barbie saw a victim, not a threat. She took him in, posted about their relationship as an act of “resistance,” and was celebrated by her activist friends as a symbol of love overcoming hate. After a few months, he convinced her to move into his community—a closed, insular neighborhood where most asylum seekers and migrants from his background lived. In this once-proud patriotic city, they had become the majority in large parts of the urban area. What used to symbolize national identity had transformed into a parallel society where Western norms were no longer dominant. It was there that the violence became more frequent and open. He would scream at her, grab her, and hit her in front of neighbors. No one intervened. No one seemed surprised. Some even looked at her with disapproval, as if she were the problem. Still, Barbie believed he could change. She told herself that with enough love, he would see her pain. She forgave him again and again, convincing herself each time that the next outburst would be the last. But she never dared to call the police or seek help. She was terrified of of being accused of racism or Islamophobia, or labeled “far-right” by her liberal friends. So she stayed silent, isolated, and slowly disappeared from her old life. One day, the man she defended killed her. Barbie is not her real name, but her story is becoming more common. The same political circles in the West that promote open borders and mass immigration refuse to acknowledge a simple truth: not all cultures are equal. They deny it, suppress discussion, and continue flooding the West with people from incompatible societies. In doing so, they brainwash a generation and prevent real protection for the women and girls most at risk from the ideology they imported. In the Muslim world there is very little diversity. Minorities are steadily disappearing, along with traces of pre-Islamic civilizations. Islam is fundamentally totalitarian. While Western cultures were built to protect women, Islam treats them as property—selling girls as child brides, forcing them into marriage, and condemning them to lives of suffering and control. Every year, thousands of women are murdered by their families in so-called “honor killings.” In most cases, these murders are not treated as serious crimes because they align with Islamic teachings. Here is a heartwarming story. Ever since Ginger joined us, Bunsen has REALLY wanted to be her friend. He was curious about her, mesmerized by her movement, and enthralled by her presence. Early on, he followed her and just looked at her as she jumped on things that probably broke his brain. Sadly for Bunsen, Ginger wanted nothing to do with the big guy. She would occasionally bat his face if he got too close or attack his tree trunk legs. One time she tried to bite his tail. Don’t worry, Bunsen is so fluffy he never got hurt. Eventually he gave up and just let Ginger run the house- he gave her a wide berth if she was sleeping on the floor and watched her warily when she crossed in front of him while he was laying down. Yesterday Kris said LOOK and Ginger was in Bunsen’s crate. Perhaps it was to escape Bernoulli’s terror, but Bunsen was thrilled. It only lasted a hour, but Bunsen was happy. He had come off his pain meds and had been crying in pain for a while. When Ginger jumped into his crate, Bunsen stopped crying. You can see his happy wag in the video. He was over the moon she was so close to him. We will never know really what animals think, but I’d like to think they care for each other in their own way.

This mom makes her eleven year old son walk a mile around the neighborhood before he can have any screen time. She said she does this to regulate his mood and energy, to build discipline to let him know fun comes after the effort, not the other way around, and, it reduces arguments - you work first and then play later, the expectations are set. Many people focused on his walking around the neighborhood by himself but she says she lives in a neighborhood where she feels very comfortable. A lot of people applauded her for making her son get outside, that it was not only healthy for his body but for his mind as well. She said this is not a punishment. I think kids in this day and age need to be forced to get outside. Too many of us allow them to stare at screens all day long. I applaud her for her routine with her son.
