She probably was working too many shifts and overtime. She does not necessarily need to be on drugs. Might be just too much working to catch up on bills and life. Let's be kinder please.

She may have been genuinely tired, or perhaps she has narcolepsy, a sleep disorder that causes excessive daytime sleepiness.
That is a classic sign of opiate abuse. I’ve seen it many times.
She really needs a break, life can be stressful.
