Candace is talking about people lying here while she herself is lying. She didn’t “very gently” say Charlie was close to converting to Catholicism. Less than a week after his murder, she explicitly said he was “too smart to be Protestant,” deciding to make it all about her and her conversion to the Catholic faith. One of the last things Charlie said at UVU the day he died was that he was an evangelical. The question before the trans shooter question was from a Mormon who wanted to ask about Mormonism and Charlie said he was an evangelical but he respected Mormons. So can we stop lying? Can we stop rewriting history? Can we stop using Charlie as a pawn and stop speaking on things only his wife should be speaking on, and that’s if she wants to?
