Didn’t have this issue in my city growing up. Most of my teacher, assistants, principals, and administrators were Black. We were taught our history, in addition to the mandated state curriculum. My peers and I absolutely could identify with Black success because we had examples.

what you’re saying about black teachers is true. My daughter, all her teachers, are African-American females; her reading and maths comprehensive level is spotless. My son, the opposite; when he was with a black teacher, he was great; when he was with a white, you feel the blank.
