I just want to point out that in old school BB we also had people recruited who were not fans of the show just to be “famous” for example Janelle. The difference is that those people would still put on a show and play hard while nowadays they don’t care.

Recruits wouldn’t be so bad if 1) production didn’t change the game for them via comps carrying greater weight than strategy, 2) there weren’t so many of them, 3) they cast mature ones that study the game beforehand and want to legitimately play to win (best example being Taylor)
