🆑 That day we were at the airport eating noodles. There was this place selling beef noodles. I said, “You’re seriously only giving me one piece of beef?” So she went, “You want beef?”, then immediately grabbed the biggest chunk and stuffed it into her own mouth. Then she started aggressively chewing. After chewing, she told me it got stuck in her teeth. I said, “How big could something stuck in your teeth even be?” Turns out it was stuck in some unreachable corner, couldn’t get it out at all. She tried using floss, still couldn’t get it out. On the plane she kept picking at that beef for hours, just picking and picking, couldn’t get it out. Then she rides to the grocery store where she leaves the key right in the built-in lock, and walks inside to shop. When she comes back out, the bike is still sitting there, exactly as she left it. She doesn’t stop there. At the next store she parks it unlocked again… and this time sets all her fresh groceries from the first store right on the ground beside it. Comes back out — bike and bags untouched. Japan is a place where trust and respect for other people’s things are simply the normal way of living. She went and got some restorer and got to work, mind you she’s working on a cold surface. She repeatedly tries over and over to get all of the paper and stuck on stains and rust off, but it didn’t work.
