Some people questioned why she would warn him that she had him on camera and told him she had notified the police. Others said he may have been able to take some stuff before the cops arrived. I would have done what she did. Why go through the hassle of repairing what he was going to break to get in, filing an insurance claim and him possibly taking something that was of value to you? What would you have done? Would you have just watched him and not said a thing hoping the cops arrived soon or would you have done what she did and told him to get lost?

She endured harassment by the SAP in the Apartheid era to keep us safe. She was the keeper of secrets, my secrets in particular. I couldn’t board him knowing he’d end up in the ER or worse. She told me she would board him and put him on meds. Her amazing team took care of him and she personally took the holiday weekend shift. This was the result! I’m so grateful.
