Nice line from Zack about real patriotism as opposed to the plastic patriotism of both Labour and Reform waving cheap flags and punching down on migrants.

If she'd watched one single vid of Zack over the last week she's have known he had a really well rehearsed line for that exact moment. Playing on easy mode for so long has let these ghouls get sloppy.

She was so pleased with that question too.

Zack pushing lazy journalists to actually do their job. If she'd had researched (Which is her job), she'd have known this would be his answer. I'm not sold on the Greens, but this guy is a breath of fresh air and hopefully brings some real engaging politics back in this country.

Anyone who has seen recent Green Party comms would know Zack’s answer to the “Billionaires will run away” argument. Guess some people are wealthy enough to not be paying attention…yet.

Farage has links to a company that helps rich people move their assets from country to country.

Yep. Tax assets. If the rich don't like it, sell the assets and fuck off

More communist bollocks from Comrade Hypnotits. The top 1% already contribute more than 30% of all income tax collected. Further penalising them risks driving away the very people whose investment, innovation and spending underpin jobs, growth and the tax revenues we all rely on.

Also, near perfect framing: ‘to reduce inequality’ - sadly ‘raise’ was also in there but I can understand why.

The problem with taxing the super wealthy is they will sell the assets and invest into another country. It’s starting to happen now.

I am so desperate to give .@ZackPolanski more dirt on Henley and Partners so he can really bury the wealth migration things ;-) But absolutely nailed it on patriotism front.

He's good. He's very good. I'm suspicious that he's been allowed on question time.

We already tax them. When they leave it’ll be us that make up the deficit. Dave can’t be that daft.

Ahh yes because most of the super rich are in the same situation as the Duke of fucking Westminster He's the height of delusion. You can transfer stocks, shares and funds abroad in a matter of days

Some assets are immobile, some are mobile - he doesn’t get that. You can’t move buildings and trees, but you can move capital, equities, businesses, jobs and, moreover, choose to not invest in his dumb economy. Wealth taxes on the rich have NEVER worked.

Stock response.. "they'll leave." Zac doing a good job of saying it's patriotic to want to pay into society.

What she walked into him talking absolute bollocks? Look at Michelle Mone, someone who literally stole from the country during covid, and who isnt even in the billionaire category, they can’t even get the money out of her cause shes put it in some trust. There are ways and means to shield assets from tax, not to mention all the money they can easily pull from investments in British companies, who would replace that? A wealth tax like this would be a net negative fiscally.

These type of journalists will be easy for him to deal with, too many times they have been able to pout out the same trash and it be accepted. Watch them flounder as someone has answers and is prepared to back our countries worth over the empty threats.

Ignorant prick think uber wealthy can’t just fuckoff to another country where they’re not taxed to the hilt . Talk about naivety and out of touch . We should be corralling the wealthy cos they spend and that’s VAT receipts right there.

Good stuff but I cringe a little bit whenever I hear the 'Duke of Westminster' line, it's a direct lift from Gary Stevenson's script. However, I realise it's illustrative. He stopped short of saying that a wealth tax would 'pay' for stuff - I know he recognises why it doesn't

The super rich as he constantly likes to refer to have more flexibility to up sticks and move, he lives in a dreamland where he thinks suddenly we have the power to strip away that ability, we don’t. Listen to these people they openly say we will take up residency elsewhere

It’s a good example except it’s never worked anywhere, ever in the history of humanity. But other than that, I like it 👍🏻
