she was really ahead of her time

Those kpopers study this video everyday

@redforjanet She definitely was! This Y2K era was so innovative!

Does anyone remember that this was in the TV show “Making the Video?” She mentioned that she felt uncomfortable filming this under florescent lighting 😂

I love Mariah Carey down but Janet Jackson started this wave of futuristic AI like videos well she kicked it off for that time period.

And they said that she "didn't deserve the MTV Video Vanguard" award.

looks like Latto until we see her face

everything about her is just so cool

My heart races when my Motorola beeps 🎵🎵🎵🎵

The song that introduced me to mother

Omg i haven’t heard this in soooo long

“Ahead of her time” ?? Y’all are so remedial

That would be Janet Jackson’s influence babes :)

just now realized zara is a mariah daughter omfg…..

We need this kind of whimsy in music videos again

Not me thinking this was latto

Nowadays gen z call that cultural appropiation I know, they suck

Sure, if you ignore several Madonna music videos from years prior lol.
