Scary to think about all the other falsely announced dead people who didn’t have a sister running late to save them

More info 🚨 In 1915, Essie Dunbar was mistakenly believed to have passed away after suffering from an illness. Doctors declared her lifeless, and a funeral was held. Her body was placed in a coffin, and the burial ceremony was nearly complete when her sister, who had arrived late, pleaded to see Essie one last time. The officials relented and opened the coffin- only for Essie to suddenly sit up and smile at the mourners. The crowd, overwhelmed with shock and fear, reportedly panicked, as they had just witnessed someone they believed to be deceased come back to life. Some even fled, thinking it was a supernatural event. In reality, Essie had been prematurely buried due to a misdiagnosis. Far from her supposed fate, she continued to live a normal life for another 47 years, passing away in 1962. Her story remains one of the most astonishing cases of premature burial and medical error. It serves as a chilling reminder of how medical science was still developing in the early 20th century, where errors in pronouncing someone's passing were not uncommon. Essie Dunbar's case is a fascinating and eerie tale of mistaken fate and unexpected survival. FYI, I focus on adding context to social media posts that often lack it. Sometimes I use to think some humans must have woken up in the grave but it was too late for them.

Full story..... During a hot South Carolina summer in 1915, 30-year-old Essie Dunbar “died” of an epileptic seizure. Or so her family thought. They called a doctor, who confirmed that Dunbar showed no signs of life. The family then arranged a funeral, placed Dunbar in a wooden coffin, invited friends and family to mourn her death, and finally buried her. At the request of Dunbar’s sister — who arrived late to the funeral — Dunbar’s coffin was dug up so that her sister could view Dunbar’s body one last time. To everyone’s profound shock, Dunbar was alive and smiling. Essie Dunbar had been buried alive, and she went on to live another 47 after her first “death”

Consider how many others might have been buried alive due to doctors incorrectly pronouncing them dead. Its just with them no one was there to see them for the last time
