Shedeur really understood what their presence at JSU meant to the city of Jackson

He was holding his emotions back, but you can see the authenticity about his love for JSU and Jacson Mississippi

Young men like Shedeur and those like him are why some of us saw the value in the JSU project. I'm not an alum, but I was rooting for the project, if not the school directly. Losing those young men as a resource to the school & community is immeasurable. God speed young bruh...

This is what we were saying all along. Say what you want but it’s nothing like a HBCU experience. Deion’s kids never saw that before and it was more than sports to them. Respect. 💯

@EBELL_TheGOAT I know Deon was like aye get this nigga off the mic before he talk himself into staying 😂

Everything he said was why black folks wanted his father to stay. Why they believed in him in the first place. The Tigers played damn well, and I wish the best for Shilo, Shedeur, and the rest of them boys in the future. Excellent interview.

aee ... I know your pops is leaving but you can be your own person. personally I'd have to get my degree from jsu at this point. your own brother will tell u being at a p5 ain't necessarily a better deal than jsu. time to step out of the ol' man's shadow and do you.

Respect on top of respect! You see it. You understand it. You get it. It’s that HOPE that was brought to the city, but specifically those kids you talked about. You connected w/the city @ShedeurSanders. That’s what’s it all about.
