That town has about 12,000 population and were presented with an 'issue' if you will from a big company. They want to build a data center for AI. The people OBJECTED to it for many reasons. The local government there gave the people a big middle finger and decided to proceed anyway. This situation is yet another example of either big or small, the people are sick of the government not working for them and being told to shut up and deal with things.

The Democratic Socialists of America say they are the movement that will protect marginalized communities. Unfortunately for them, Black people want nothing to do with them. Why? Because they know that DSA is for white, overeducated activists, not their communities. Bernie and Mamdani both have a terrible track record with Black voters, yet they think they are the heroes of people of color. It's fascinating to watch another wing of the Democrat Party completely disconnected from reality. Hard to change that tradition, apparently, regardless of the slogans.
