Musa Kamarawa, a former aide to Bello Matawalle, swore by the Qur’an that all interactions he had with bandits and terrorists were carried out on Matawalle’s instructions. He challenged the minister, or anyone who believes he is lying, to swear by the Qur’an in the same manner. He further stated that he was granted bail during Bello Matawalle’s tenure as governor, but was later charged to court under Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration. According to him, the court eventually discharged him after failing to establish any direct link between him and bandits. Kamarawa also swore by the Qur’an that no politician is sponsoring his whistleblowing. He insisted that he has no ties with any government official and has never visited the Zamfara State Government House since leaving office when Bello Matawalle was governor.
