Rockets Rookie Quadir Copeland was one of the best Two-Way players in Summer League. Copeland helped the Rockets finish with a 4-1 record where he averaged 13/4/3 and 2.6 Steals a game, while shooting 58% from the field and 55% from three on 2 attempts a game. Copeland’s mix of athleticism, defensive motor, instincts, finishing, handle, craft, and passing makes him a really intriguing player at 6’6. Copeland was one of the best on ball defenders in summer league where he made defenders uncomfortable and also stole the ball at an elite defender. Copeland is also great at creating a two way play after a steal in transition. Copeland is also a skilled half court player who has strong passing vision and is elite at getting to the rim and is a strong finisher.

BREAKING: Memphis lands a commitment from Briacrest HS 2026 4⭐️ wing/F Fred Smith Jr. Fred joins fellow 4⭐️ Cello Jackson as the two Memphis commits in the 2026 class. Smith Jr. is an interesting scout. Has good handle + ball skills at his size, but lacks lateral quickness and outside shooting. Is limited size-wise in the paint but is a physical scorer at the rim. It’ll be interesting to see what position he plays and how his game translates in college. I see him more as an undersized 4 in college.

Call me crazy, but when I look at #Browns draft pick OT Austin Barber, I see Guard in his future Watching him bully defenders in the run game and move extremely well at 6’6 317lbs, its going to be hard for CLE to keep him off the field

Joe Biden was born with a stutter. Millions of Americans were born with a stutter. When Trump attacks Biden for having a stutter, he is attacking the families of every child in America who fears a bully making fun of them for being born with a stutter. Trump is an ugly bully. He has been a bully his whole life and he is not going to stop being a bully at age 77.

I counted at least 16 of his 35 points in the paint against Edey or directly against him from 15 feet and in. Edey is a good prospect and has definitely been rising in draft boards. But if you want to see what GM’s are afraid of this film highlights it. He gets absolutely abused in pick and rolls and dribble handoffs. Something that NBA caliber players will take even more advantage of. #iubb

Clippers got a sold pick with Kobe Brown. I watched him in person during the first round of the tourney. He is a BIG body at 6’8” 250 but he is nibble, can shoot, can create, and can play bully ball in the post. Reminded me of Zach Randolph except with better handle and 3. 👏🏻

Rich Paul says LeBron ‘definitely’ has two more years in him 👀 “LeBron could play 5 more years. He could play at least 28 years in the NBA. Now, I personally think he should play 25 years. He definitely has at least two more years in him. I’m not so sure that the people, fans, we should be sitting here trying to push him out the league” (Via Game Over)

Baylor 6’5 Sophomore Cameron Carr has been one of the most impressive prospects in this years NBA Draft. Carr has been one of the biggest underclassmen standouts averaging 22/6/2 on 56/42/82 splits while also averaging 2 BPG. Standing at 6’5 with a 7’2 wingspan Carr has the frame to play multiple positions in the league, and there aren’t many elite athletes who are as efficient as Carr is from three and at the rim. Carr is shooting 70% at the rim and 42% both on extremely high usage. Carr has the ability to create off the dribble from the mid range or from three and is also an extremely talented off ball shooter who can shoot contested with efficiency. At the rim Carr uses his athleticism to be a lob threat, a cutter, and he also has the ability to create his own look at the rim. Carr is also the only player in college basketball this season to have 20 dunks and 20 threes, and has made a strong case in being a lottery pick.

Byron Scott tells story of him coaching Kobe Bryant through his last NBA game when he scored 60 “He started off horrible, couldn’t make a shot… When he start that game off the first 3/4 minutes I was like ‘this is not how I want him to go out.’ He got fouled and hit two FTs then all hell broke loose. The 2nd half I told him ‘you’re not coming out. Get ready to play the rest of this game.’ Every timeout I’d have my board and sit down with the guys and say ‘here’s our play guys. Kobe get the ball rest of yall get the hell out the way. Kobe if you want a P&R just call one of them up. Everybody get the hell out the way.’ He just went off… it was a beautiful moment. That’s something we won’t see again in our lifetime. You won’t see somebody play 20 years and score 60 in his last game. MJ only had 20 something, not even close. What we witnessed that night, is history” (Via

Charles Bassey is a professional scorer for sure - instant buckets inside the paint, especially as a roller. His defense is a whole other story. He can deter at the rim, but he's a pure drop-coverage guy and has very little ability to contest outside shots, esp 3-point shooters. He will literally just watch dudes shoot. To me, being able to guard outside the paint in today's NBA for a big is a basic necessity for any player who's going to be in rotation if you strive to be a great basketball team, and he doesn't cover it, which severely limits his potential as a defensive difference-maker. With Porzingis already being a cone more than half the time, we can expect Warriors defense to disappoint in the upcoming season if they're going to rely on Bassey to play a big role. Watch this short clip to see examples of what I saw from Bassey last season against a stretch player on the Clippers.

Is Alex Karaban the most slept-on prospect in this draft? I made the case to Kevin O'Connor why he’s a top-20 pick — and why his skill, feel, and two-way versatility make him a safe bet for a long, successful NBA career.

🎙️ Bill Simmons: "I loved (Kon) Knueppel in the draft. I just think he looks like he's 27 years old already. He's running offense, he rebounds, he's always in the right spots, doing the right things..." 🎙️ Timothy Legler: "He has a feel for the game that you just cannot teach... he's got a comfortability factor about him that doesn't really go with being someone his age playing in a league full of grown men, with a lot of scrutiny on you as a high pick."

Cason Wallace, potentially the best defender in this draft, is intriguing to NBA teams with his combination of toughness, feel for the game, shooting, unselfishness and defensive instincts, giving him a high floor as a prospect.

Joan Beringer is raw, he’s toolsy, and he might just be the most intriguing defensive prospect in the 2025 NBA Draft class. At 7’0” in shoes with a stupid 7’4.5” wingspan, Beringer swallows up space like a vacuum—fluid, long, and annoying to deal with on the perimeter. The scheme versatility is the sell—he can play up in a hedge, switch, or play in a drop. He likes to force ball-handlers into tough spots, getting in their shirt and shading them to a side, and his lateral movement is shockingly smooth for a guy this size (though his feet can get a little happy at times). Has real recovery tools, even when a defender gets a step on him. The offense is a little more basic right now. He’s strictly a rim-runner, screen-setting lob target, and garbage man—don’t ask him to stretch the floor and expect some pretty silly turnovers. BUT—and this is a massive but—he’s only been playing basketball for three years. The fact that he’s already this impactful defensively while being this raw is pretty exciting. The upside is undeniable, and it’s hard for me seeing him escape the lotto on draft night.

Draymond Green calls out NBA fans for celebrating Russell Westbrook now after the way they treated him poorly the past few years: “Basketball fans suck. And by the way, I am a basketball fan, so you can throw me in that category, too. But basketball fans suck. Because for the last 8 to 10 years, all this guy has heard is how bad he sucks, how he don’t shoot it well, how he stat pad, and how he mess up teams. And when you’re in this game and that’s all you see, that’s all you hear, you power through it. You fight through it because that’s who we are. That’s what we do. But man, that sh*t is irritating and it bothers you. Make no mistake about it. West brick and all the things y’all said about him. And the moment he step aside, oh man, y’all did Russ wrong. Can’t tell me he couldn’t be on the team. What? How, wow how he played the game. Gonna miss him and not in the NBA. All these great beautiful things. Why can’t we feel that when you going?” (via The Draymond Green Show)
