This afternoon, in honour of #NelsonMandelaDay, we gifted visually impaired residents of Ga-Rankuwa with blankets. The residents are members of the Ikageng Self-Help Association of the Blind. We chose Ikageng because of the important work the organisation provides to vulnerable members of our community. Ikageng helps keep its members active and educated. In addition to the blankets we’ve donated today, we will be assisting the organisation to rebuild its garden so that the community can benefit from the vegetables and fruits grown from this yard. City of Tshwane
