Had that happen eons ago. Sparrint in TKD, I was paired to train a young lady who was married to the second in command. She would NOT guard properly. Told her several times. We were doing light content kicks/blocks; I tapped her 3 or 4 times, then… I hit the floating rib. 😬

This is literally how my boxing coach taught me. He showed me twice and when I kept dropping that elbow he clocked me Everytime. I learned to keep em up after that lesson.
