This is a very poor illustration. What if the ‘smart’ couples investment tanked? Or the house in a ‘poorer’ don’t appreciate at the same speed… regardless of this over 10 years ‘dumb’ couple still were worth more 🤣

So after all that ‘Dumb couple’ have a nicer house, higher net worth and live in an area thats more appealing than the smart couple. Well done.

Stupid video and logic. Didn’t dumb couple live on a house twice as nice for those 10 years and didn’t smart couple waste the disposable come in reality on luxury items that depreciated to nothing.

People clearly don’t understand how compounding works over time in the comments because after 25 years, smart couple’s investment would grow to £1.7m at 10% return. Not to mention the equity in their property would have also doubled. Financial literacy is a must for everyone
