She’s onto something.

There’s a reason why Jesus was crucified, not on the right or the left, but in the middle. There’s a reason why He’s both holy and merciful. Loving and Just. The lion and the lamb. He’s the I AM. The balance. Perfection incarnate.

Amen

Yes The narrow road really is narrow, And everyone in the right ditch will accuse you of being in the left ditch. Everyone in the left ditch will accuse you of being in the right ditch.

She might be the first person in human history to phrase it this way. Genius.

No, she's not onto something. She's presenting Christianity as "muh middle ground." It's not. Nothing lines up perfectly, but it's closer to the right than the left, and it's closer to the red pill than feminism. It's closer to libertarianism than communism or democracy.

“18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 He who hates Me hates My Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated Me and My Father as well. 25 But they have done this to fulfill the word that is written in their Law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’"

Attending to this balance between extremes is relevant for Christian theology, as well. Take the extreme in one direction on a number of issues, and you run into problems (human freedom vs the sovereignty of God; the trinity; the dual nature of Christ). Find comfort in the tensions, and you find consistency with the entire testimony of Scripture. It seems to force humility, which many argue is a fundamental virtue for success in the Christian life.

Jesus cared not one iota about the government, the nation of Judea/Israel, it's military security, sovereignty, economic ideology... that's part of why the jewish population ignored him, treated him as a false prophet. He wasn't there to make Jerusalem Great Again. It was about individuals and their souls. Your salvation, not the country's/govt/economy... "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s.”

Matthew 10: 34-39

Interesting take. I was honestly thinking this about myself and how I can often be in the middle of extremes and hated by both sides for my ideas. Great reminder that it’s not me, but Christ in me. It’s also Him that won’t let me keep my mouth shut, regardless of whom it offends.

Another reason Charlie Kirk was taken too soon He was the clearest voice about this to both political sides

Said it earlier today. If you find you only think Jesus would agree with your opinions on what he’d want you’re def doing Christianity wrong. If you’re not challenging yourself you’re probably doing something wrong.

Yes, great point. Also, factions within each of those groups will try to put on the skinsuit of Christianity in their own ways. Woke Christianity, misogynistic Christianity, Nazi Christianity, etc.

Never heard it put like this, but it makes so much sense.

There's a reason He's hated by the whole world. Part of loving Christ is understanding there's a part of you that resents Him, trusting Him enough to know He loves you in spite of it, and understanding that He can get you over that hump.

“True Christianity” so which of the 50,000+ denominations would that be? 🤔 There is no such thing as true Christianity and there never has been. Christians have disagreed about it literally from day one. Every Christian thinks their version is the “true” version.

Human nature is to be divisive. We must have the mind of Christ among ourselves, a mind of HUMILITY (Phil 2:5). We become a wicked stumbling block to belief when we make any factors necessary for salvation, other than that of the humble repentance of sin & faith in Christ. ✝️🙏

Geesh, that was good

That’s so convenient

This is because logistically spiritual, sacrificial love does NOT perfectly fit into human ideology. Everyone on X that argues "Christianity" does so through the prism of their ideology when their prism should be the eyes of Christ. This requires more than just dogma.

I wonder what the Christians in the Colleseum would have to say?

1 Cor. 1:27 and 1 Cor. 1:18 come to mind

Because it challenges all their humanistic worldviews.

This post calls for another whole Bible study and it has brought so many verses / words about Jesus’ judgments to my mind. Thanks for this 🙏

What became of Familia De DIOS Acts 2:42-47 & 4:32-37 One Mind One Heart One Body Sharing, Caring, Loving

Yes. Yes. Yes. Christ is King.

She's onto something alright. 👀👀

That balance have to be true balance, but... I think she hit the mark. In short terms... truth-first Christians are rare.

It's not seen as socialist by conservatives.
But there is one ideology where Christianity fits perfectly...

She's wise. "Balance" does not get attention, provide dopamine hits, is not addictive in and of itself, not a great way to make money off others, not a great pseudo reality to hide in, hard to build a tribe around.

That’s a good thought. It’s the same as Luis said in his book “mere Christianity”

You must be Catholic. If you’re not, you’re not far…Well said.
