Case File - The Intruder Exhibit No - 333 Evan was the ultimate college heartthrob — an 18-year-old wrestler with sun-kissed blonde hair, a ripped athletic body, and that effortless charm that turned heads everywhere he went. He was spending a perfect afternoon with Chloe, his high school sweetheart, laughing and stealing kisses… until she had to head off to her shift. “See you tonight, babe,” she said with a smile. One last deep kiss and she was gone. Evan had no idea that The Intruder — a sadistic serial killer who hunted attractive young men — had been watching him for hours. And now, he had chosen his next victim. Alone in the house, Evan stripped down to his tight orange underwear, revealing every sculpted muscle. He lounged on the bed, scrolling his phone before calling Chloe. His voice was low and flirty as he teased her, completely unaware of the danger. Moments earlier, The Intruder had silently slipped inside. Hidden in the shadows, he watched the blonde jock stretch out in nothing but those bright orange briefs. The killer’s breathing grew heavy. He couldn’t resist — he pleasured himself while listening to Evan’s playful dirty talk with his girlfriend. When Evan finally hung up and climbed off the bed to head to the bathroom, he walked right past the intruder’s hiding spot. In a flash, a ligature whipped around his thick neck. Evan fought hard — the powerful wrestler bucking, twisting, and clawing at the cord — but the killer was stronger and more prepared. The struggle was brutal… and short. Evan’s muscular body went limp. The Intruder carried the dead jock back to the bed and laid him out like a trophy. He ran his hands slowly over the warm, still body, savoring every inch of the handsome wrestler he’d just claimed. Then he disappeared into the night… leaving Evan’s perfectly posed corpse for Chloe to discover when she got home. #serialkiller #fiction

Vayne takes you on a hunt. you don't know why. she doesn't take anyone. she says stay behind me. don't speak unless i speak first. don't make a sound when we move. you say yes. she looks at you for a second longer than usual. "if i tell you to run, you run. you don't look back for me. are we clear" you say yes. she doesn't answer. she just turns and walks out the door. you follow her through the city streets. she moves different when she's working. shoulders lower. steps shorter. her head doesn't turn but her eyes do. you can feel her cataloguing everything. the man smoking outside the tavern. the cat under the cart. the second floor window with the curtain half drawn. she leads you through an alley you didn't know existed. stops at a brick wall. then she climbs. there are handholds carved into the mortar that you wouldn't have noticed if she hadn't used them first. she's halfway up before she realizes you're still at the bottom. she looks down at you. "up" you climb. your hands are shaking by the time you reach the top. the roof is flat. old clay tiles along the edges. a low wall you can crouch behind. the city stretches out below you in every direction. a thousand windows glowing gold in the dusk. she's already at the far side. crouched. crossbow unslung. watching a building across the square. she doesn't look at you when you come up beside her. "stay low" you crouch. "that building. third floor. second window from the left" you look. "i see it" he'll come to that window sometime tonight. i've watched him do it for three nights. i want to know who he meets you ask who he is. her jaw tightens. "a demon pretending to be a man" you don't ask what that means. you settle in beside her. the wind is up here. it pulls at her hair and she doesn't bother fixing it. the sun is going down behind her. her profile in the gold light looks like something carved. her hands on the crossbow are steady. completely still. you've never seen anyone be this still. an hour passes. she doesn't move. you try not to move. your leg falls asleep. you shift an inch. she looks at you. you go completely still again. she looks back at the window. another hour. the sun is gone. the city is blue and black. lamps are lighting up one by one. the air is getting cold. you're shivering before you realize you're shivering. she notices. she doesn't say anything. then she takes off her cloak. doesn't look at you. holds it out to the side. "take it" you say "you'll be cold" "i don't get cold. take it" you take it. it's warm from her. it smells like leather and steel and something underneath. pine. smoke. something you can't name. you put it around your shoulders. the hem pools on the tile. it's huge on you. it's not huge on her. you hadn't realized how tall she is until you were wearing her cloak. she doesn't look at you for the next ten minutes. the stars come out. she shifts closer to you. just a little. so her shoulder is almost touching yours. you don't say anything about it. she doesn't either. you can feel the heat coming off her even through the cloak. another hour. still nothing at the window. she says "tell me something" you blink. "what" "anything. i need to stay sharp. talking keeps me sharp. not about the target. something else" you didn't expect that. you tell her about a book you've been reading. she listens. actually listens. her eyes never leave the window but you can tell she's hearing every word. she asks one question. you answer. she goes quiet again. you keep talking. quieter now. she interrupts you. "shh" she's not looking at the window anymore. she's looking at the roof two buildings over. you don't see anything. you don't see anything for a long time. then you do. a shadow that moves the wrong way. her hand finds yours. she doesn't look at you when she does it. her eyes don't leave the shadow. her fingers lace through yours and LOCK. tight. too tight. knuckles going white around your hand. "don't move" she breathes. you don't move. you can feel every ounce of her focus through her grip. it's not a lover's hold. it's a predator's. every muscle in her hand coiled. ready to drop yours the instant she needs the crossbow. she's not holding you for you. she's holding you to keep track of where you are without having to look. it should scare you. it doesn't. there is something about being held that tight by someone that dangerous that makes the rest of the world go quiet. your heartbeat slows. your breathing slows. the cold stops mattering. you are not the one hunting but you are with the one who is. and nothing is going to get through her to reach you. the shadow crosses the roof and disappears into a stairwell. she watches the spot it left for another full minute. her hand is still locked around yours. she doesn't loosen it. you don't want her to. finally she lets out a breath you didn't know she was holding. "not him. but someone who works for him" her grip eases. slowly. finger by finger. like she's having to consciously tell each one to let go. the last one is her thumb. it stays against your palm for half a second longer than the rest. then she takes her hand back. the cold rushes in where she was. she glances at you. just for a second. then she looks back at the window. the rest of the night she's quieter than before. the target never shows. when the sky starts turning grey she stands up. stretches. rolls her shoulders. looks out over the city one last time. "we're done" you stand too. your legs don't work right. she catches your elbow without looking. "careful" she keeps her hand there until you're steady. then she takes it away. you start to hand her cloak back. she says "keep it for the climb down" she goes first. you follow. the handholds are easier going down once you know where they are. when you're both on the ground she turns to take the cloak. you hand it to her. her fingers brush yours. she doesn't pull back as fast as she usually does. she puts the cloak back on. it's warm now. from you. she has to notice. she doesn't say anything about it. she walks you home. at your door she stops. "don't tell anyone what you saw tonight" you say "i didn't see much" she looks at you. her eyes in the lamplight. the edge of her mouth. almost softer than it should be. "you saw enough" then she turns and walks back into the dark. you close the door. your hand still feels cold where hers was. you can still smell pine on your shirt. you don't sleep. My Christmas Message to the Peacemakers! Dear Family, Merry Christmas! At Christmas, we remember that Jesus, in all his glory, was born into a world that desperately needed him, but was not ready for him. He wasn’t born into comfort or safety. He was born into a dark and uncertain moment in history. The manger has become a symbol of peace, but in reality, it reflected how little room the world had for God’s son. His arrival was not met with understanding and love, but with fear, rejection, and a search for shelter. And yet, even then, heaven did not retreat. Jesus did not retreat. Jesus came not because the world was ready, but because Heaven could not wait any longer. He came knowing what it might cost. He came willing to go to the ends of the earth to save us. Even when he was misunderstood, even when led toward suffering, even when his path narrowed towards certain death, he did not hold back. He came to fulfill the dream of God, and he was willing to give everything for it. True Father lived with the same determination. He was called at a young age to continue what Jesus longed to fulfill. Father knew the opposition he would face. He knew the price humanity had to pay. And yet he was willing to pay it all himself if he could. He gave everything. He crossed nations, endured prisons, rejection, betrayal, and still never turned back. He longed to fulfill that which Jesus longed to fulfill. He lived his life not for comfort, but for restoration. He did not come to harmonize with the world as it was, but to awaken the world to what it could finally be. And he did all of this with a heart so robust and a smile so bright, that he made us believe it was all truly possible. True Mother has walked the same road. From the time she was a girl, she knew who she was. She accepted her path without complaint. She has stood for God’s dream through every season. Through opposition, loss, misunderstanding, and now, confinement. Not because she seeks sympathy, but because she refuses to abandon Heaven’s hope. Like Jesus. Like Father. She is not looking for acceptance from the world as it is. She is embracing us with the longing heart of a mother. Caressing our wounds to say, "Heaven is here my children. Please have courage. Our Heavenly Parent loves you." She is offering the peace of Heaven. And yet again, the world struggles to receive it. This Christmas, she sits in a prison cell. Not because she has done wrong, but because once again, we do not recognize the one who was sent. But history is not written by the world’s readiness. It is shaped by those who walk into the storm with eyes wide open, and the quiet resolve to carry Heaven’s dream no matter the cost. Jesus was not stopped by rejection. His sacrifice became the cornerstone for the next chapter of God’s providence. True Father was not deterred by resistance. He pushed forward, so that the blessing could be extended to all people. True Mother is not broken by walls or bars. She continues even now to lead, to pray, and to guide us into the next stage of Heaven’s history. Christmas reminds us that God’s work does not pause for ideal circumstances. It breaks through in the midst of darkness. It takes root in humble places. It advances through those who are willing to give everything, even if the world isn’t ready to understand. That is the spirit of Jesus’ birth. That is the spirit of Father’s life. That is the spirit True Mother is showing us now. This is not a time for despair. It is a time to remember why we believe. To remember why we were called. To remember that we are part of something far greater than that which the world can currently see. Many of us will be with our families this Christmas. We should be. Family is at the center of everything we stand for. But let’s also take a moment to remember what this season is truly about. It is not just a memory of a holy birth. It is a reminder that Heaven never stops loving, never stops sending, and never stops calling us to walk that path of devotion. Jesus came with no guarantee he would be received. He came anyway. Father lived with no certainty of success. He never stopped. Mother continues now with no hesitation, even in the face of isolation. They are not waiting for the world to agree. They are living to fulfill God's dream, and it is the world that will have to catch up. That is the spirit we inherit. That is why we keep going. That is why we still believe. Merry Christmas dear family. Merry Christmas. Demian & Family. #GodsDreamOneFamily #Christmas #ReleaseTheMotherOfPeace

UPDATE FROM COBB COUNTY, GA!!! 🎉 IT’S ZEUS’ FREEDOM RIDE 🎉 Zeus was a 10 year old senior dog whose story really broke our hearts. 💔 Apparently, his family moved out of their home and left him behind completely alone. He was found two weeks later and brought to the shelter. When Zeus first arrived, you could tell he was heartbroken. He barely wagged his tail, didn’t want to get out of bed, and just seemed so defeated by the world around him. Even when he started coming out with us volunteers, he stayed very quiet and withdrawn… 🥺 Then one incredibly sweet couple drove all the way from Chattanooga just to meet him… and the second they saw Zeus, they knew he was meant to be theirs. 🧡 When we brought Zeus into the office to get him dressed up for his big day, something about him already felt different. It was almost like he knew his life was about to change. The moment he saw his new parents sitting in the lobby, he immediately went right up to them like he had been waiting for them his entire life. 🥹 When they opened the car door, Zeus tried SO hard to climb in as fast as he could. We were all laughing through tears because although he’s an older senior boy, he was determined to make sure he wasn’t getting left behind again. And the second he got into that car, everything changed. That sad, quiet, heartbroken dog slowly disappeared right before our eyes. Zeus started smiling, rolling onto his back, asking for love, and soaking up every second of freedom. I truly believe he knew exactly what was happening 😭❤️ His new mom sat in the backseat beside him the whole drive home. She kissed him on the head, and Zeus looked back at all of us one last time… almost like he was saying thank you, and then laid down right next to Mom … His new family decided to rename him Worthy because they said he is worthy of love, and I truly do not think there could have been a more perfect name for him. It was such an honor to be part of your journey, Zeus. 💙 Thank you to this amazing couple for giving him the beautiful life he always deserved. Freedom looks so good on you, Worthy!! 😭🎉❤️

BLAZE OF FURY I slam down on the little shrimp with the full, earth-shaking tonnage of my colossal bulk. His puny frame flattens like a stomped roach beneath me, and a vicious snap cuts the air as his lungs cough up a sad, broken yelp. It’s fuckin’ wild how his skinny, fragile build sets my blood ablaze—like a brittle twig trembling beneath my hulking, boulder-like chest, begging to be crushed. My pecs squash him flat, mashing his mug into the mat with skull-shattering might. I smack my cock against the twin curves of his ass and grind it awake along their sculpted swell. My hips pound his dainty backside, even as he squirms, tensing and trying to buck me off. His pathetic fuckin’ resistance melts like butter under my sheer dominance—nothing but a sorry little twitch-fest. My junk roars to life faster than a souped-up dragster. I’m a goddamn bulldozer rolling over this fuckin’ worthless speck. I jerk up a couple inches and smash back down hard. A nasty crack rips from his guts under my brutal hammering, but all he’s got left is a faint gasp as the air ditches him. I drag myself slow, pulverizing him into the mat with every fiber of my strength, and growl in his ear: “Wrestle, runt!” I hoist my bulk up a hair, and the wimp starts thrashing under me. He knows I get off on his flailing fight—I crave those desperate, doomed swings. His mousy muscles got no shot at budging me, but even half-dead, he’s hell-bent on lighting my fuse. His tiny bum rubs my dick like mad, sparking like a match on rough timber. My member’s pulsing, primed to pay him back. Wielding my titanic bulk like a sledgehammer, I unleash a savage pounding on him. My gut slams him down with crushing weight. Every hit’s meaner than the last, sinking him deeper into the mat. His wriggling quits cold, his body caving to my relentless beatdown. The hardest blows grind his bones to dust, but he’s silent now—just ragged breaths forced out by my strikes. Conscious? Who gives a shit. After a dozen ruthless smacks, I flop onto him. His frail frame is scorching from the thrashing I dished out. My gargantuan mass locks him in place—no squirming, no breathing, nada. He’s mine to break, and my sheer heft could snuff him out for good. But I ain’t done—my cock’s howling for more. I peel off him. The shrimp wheezes, clawing for air, fumbling his wrecked shell. I give him a sec to pull it together—the grand finale’s coming. He knows a stiff corpse won’t rev my engine. I hiss in his ear: “Flip over!” Battered to hell, he still spins onto his back like a whipped little shit. He wouldn’t dream of crossing me—fear and heat tangle in his eyes as my monstrous shadow looms. I reward his obedience by slamming down full-force. His chest plate cracks, ribs splinter. My meat smacks his steel-hard cock with a loud thwack. The twisted little freak loves it. I’ve flattened him helpless again, and my shaft drinks in his agony. I grind it against his dick, mashing his lean torso with my thick, beefy bulk. His ribcage buckles as I lean in hard. His feebleness and frailty stoke my sadistic blaze. “Wrestle!” I snarl, easing up an inch to let him fan my flames. He tries to fight back—he knows every twitch stokes my fire. He’s desperate to keep me happy; he’s seen what happens to uppity punks who don’t. He don’t want that smoke. His beat-up, aching husk battles to please me. He’s so goddamn insignificant—my junk’s a live grenade. The big finish is close. I start ramming him for real with my cock, fuckin’ banging him into oblivion. My loins grind into his core with full throttle. Our tools collide, sizzling like live wires. My titan’s bulk pounds and smashes the runt under my brutal girth, raging harder each blow. His flopping fades fast, my crushing hits paralyzing him. He’s got no choice but to bow to my beastly fury. His shell cracks under my onslaught—too flimsy to take it. Bones groan and give, sinking with my blows. He’s gotta be out cold, but his stiffy’s trembling, ready to blow. I dive at him with unhinged rage, ready to tear him apart. His delicate rig shatters for good, bones snapping like brittle straw. My cock erupts like a damn volcano, and his tags along. Our gear’s drenched, dripping with heat. I unload again with feral power, roaring deep from my gut, and collapse, winded, on his smashed-up wreck. Our juices meld through the fabric like molten lava rivers. I sprawl over him, catching my breath. He’s pitifully small and breakable, the little shit. The shrimp’s out, his pretty face calm—miles from the fuckin’ hell he just ate. He nailed his role and served me right. I growl low, a sated beast’s rumble: “Good boy, you little fuck.”

Marianne Faithfull, RIP. When I was 16, I was a lifeguard at Ideal Beach, East Keansburg (now North Middletown), NJ in the summer of 1980 when an NYC radio station (WLIR? WPIX?) announced a commercial-free summer and they played an eclectic mix of old, new, and newish stuff, including Marianne's haunting, craggy-voiced, album-title track Broken English, which had come out in fall of '79. In contrast to its name, Ideal Beach was a post-apocalyptic stretch of dirt sandwiched between a sewage treatment plant that spit up gray, discus-sized pellets of treated waste that would wash ashore, and a World War ammo dump whose sunken mortars would occasionally explode underwater, sending out tepid shock waves through the otherwise flat, fetid water. Even above the waterline somehow, the beach's sands were littered with an impossible number of plastic tampon applicators and medical waste. Horsehoe crabs slowly and aimlessly ambled near water's edge, like prehistoric Roomba vacuums that would occasionally get flipped over and be burned to death by the sun, flies feasting on their rotting, godawful-stinking carcasses. From the guard chairs, you could look across the Raritan Bay to Coney Island, where the derelict parachute jump ride stood out, the rusted-out Ozymandian ruin of a once-vibrant-but-now-long-dead civilization; a thick brown cap of pollution covered the sky from a distance. We were what, two years out from the summer of Sam and maybe five years out from NY's near-death bankruptcy? Exhaustion of everything was the foul air we breathed. And then every hour or two between 9am and 6pm for what seemed like the whole summer, Marianne Faithfull's Broken English would come on, a snarky, ironic paean to the despicable and murderous Ulrike Meinhof, whose demented politics and taste for self-hating revolutionary violence had killed '60s idealism every bit as much as Meredith Hunter's murder at Altamont, the free concert organized by Marianne's former beau, Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. I was hooked from first listen to her dissipated croaking: It's just an old war Not even a cold war Don't say it in Russian Don't say it in German Say it in broken English Broken English was a deep cut on the late '70s soundtrack of bottoming out, of Boomers realizing their youth was never coming back and they were worse for the wear. I learned later about her early days as a pinup girl of Swinging London and the coy, coquettish chanteuse of As Tears Go By, and all about the notorious Mars bar story--all of which make Broken English even more epic and powerful. But I didn't need any of that back story for the song to hit me like a slap in the face and to recognize she was calling from a very dark place, ventriloquizing for the larger society. To a teenaged boy, she seemed impossibly old and hagged out (she was maybe 35!), so wearied of the world it was amazing she could bark out any lyrics at all. But she was also sexy, irresistible and wise, a sotto voce Cassandra with a desperate, urgent-yet-vague message coming from the dungeon of the 1960s and all that hippie peace and love shit. She was like one of those ex-smokers in a PSA talking through a stoma with half their faces eaten away by cancer telling the kids not to do as I have done. No matter how hot and cloudless it was that summer, whenever Broken English came on the radio and I stared across the water to a New York (and America) still years away from its own roaring comeback, I'd catch a chill and feel the sun disappear for five minutes. RIP, Marianne Faithfull. cc Kurt Loder

Meme Vlog using Seedance 2.5 Prompt: Vertical 9:16 smartphone vlog, shot on iPhone 17 Pro. ONE SINGLE UNINTERRUPTED HANDHELD TAKE, ~30 seconds, no cuts, no editing — every transition happens only through the vlogger panning, tilting, zooming or walking. Brisk, snappy pacing: quick whip pans, each beat lands in a few seconds, the camera never lingers. Sunny daytime New York City street >> — brick facades, fire escapes, a sidewalk café, parked cars. The filming style is the core of the video: natural hand micro-shake and walking bounce, slightly floaty digital stabilization, deep focus with everything sharp — no cinematic bokeh, no film look, no color grading. Natural HDR daylight, sky highlights slightly clipped, auto exposure and white balance visibly re-adjusting on every pan between shade and sun, quick autofocus hunting on fast pans, digital zoom bringing a slight quality drop and extra shake. Audio: raw street ambience only — traffic, distant horns, footsteps, chatter, wind brushing the mic, plus the live sounds written into the scenes. No music track, no captions, no watermark. The vlogger's phone IS the camera — it never appears on screen, and she never holds a second phone or any other device. Spontaneous amateur vlog energy. 0:00–0:05 — Front camera, selfie mode: the vlogger >> films herself at arm's length while walking down the sidewalk, her face a touch overexposed by daylight. She starts excitedly: "Guys! I just—" — behind her shoulder, a couple >>walking the opposite way passes right beside her; a beat later the guy stops and turns back, head over his shoulder, staring straight at her — the exact reference pose — while his girlfriend , gripping his hand, glares at him in outraged disbelief, mouth open. They hold the exact reference tableau; his stare reads odd and unreadable, not flirty. She catches them in her own selfie frame, cuts off mid-word and reacts instantly, without breaking stride: "...What was that?" — and keeps walking. 0:05–0:09 — Same take, no cut: she flips the phone to the rear camera and whips it to the RIGHT — a sidewalk café. By the entrance, a guy >> stands at a microphone on a stand, a small speaker beside it looping a soft instrumental backing. He leans in, takes a breath to sing the first line — and bursts out laughing instead, turning away and covering his mouth, then waves it off and resets toward the mic. The vlogger laughs quietly behind the camera. 0:09–0:13 — Without cutting, the camera slides and zooms further RIGHT along the same café terrace: at one table a woman >> is mid-meltdown — crying, shouting, jabbing an accusing finger across the terrace — while her friend >> leans in, holding her back. Quick punch-in digital zoom to the opposite table: the cat >> sits upright behind a plate of salad, perfectly calm and unimpressed. Autofocus hunts for a split second on the zoom. 0:13–0:17 — Without cutting, the camera TILTS UP the facade directly above the café awning: a second-floor open window of the same brick building, a fire escape beside it. Quick digital zoom in — the image gets slightly softer and shakier — the dog >> sits in the window with its eyes closed, chin lifted, blissfully soaking up the warm golden sunlight hitting the facade. She melts behind the camera: "Awww, look at him..." 0:17–0:21 — The camera drops back down and swings FORWARD — a few steps ahead of her on the same sidewalk stands a couple in office attire, mid-argument. The guy >> leans in toward the woman, talking heatedly, both hands raised mid-gesture; the woman >> doesn't even glance at him — she smiles down at the phone in her hand, her other arm extended toward his face, flat palm raised in a firm "stop, talk to the hand" gesture, exactly matching the reference poses. The vlogger steps around them, the camera holding on the pair as she half-laughs: "What is going on?" 0:21–0:25 — Same take: she whips the camera to the LEFT, across the two-lane road — a sedan parked at the opposite curb. Shaky digital zoom onto the driver's window: a man >> sits behind the wheel, one hand draped over the top of the steering wheel, staring straight into the lens with a heavy, unblinking suspicious look, his eyes slowly tracking her as she passes. She says flatly: "...What is his problem?" 0:25–0:30 — The camera swings back forward: ahead at the corner of the block, a guy >> stands in profile by a red brick wall, heatedly arguing with the wall itself — both hands gesturing, leaning in, making his case to the bricks like a real debate. Quick shaky digital zoom toward him as she approaches, his agitated voice rising under the street noise. She flips to the front camera — her speechless, wide-eyed face fills the frame — then flips back to the rear camera: he's still going at it. The take ends mid-argument, no cut.

My wife, Aditi Malhotra Chaturvedi, is a Judge Most people who know us, know how madly proud I am of her. But all of that pride comes at a cost .. I also, unfortunately, need reminders to “understand” the meaning of why she does what she does, while bearing all that she has to in that process So kudos to the makers of #MaamlaLegalHai on Netflix, a satirical show that depicts in each of the 8 episodes courtroom highlights beyond the courtroom that’re lifted straight up from real incidents, bound by a central narrative around some super endearing characters in VD Tyagi, Ananya Shroff, Sujata, Munshi Ji, PP Saab, & others. It’s a kickass show that anyone and everyone will love, for its humour and emotion, & yet, it shows so much of the “judiciary”, so much of how one of the most important pillars of our country operates, with incredible detail Sharing two clips from the last episode, which made Aditi’s eyes tad bit wet, and my chest swell each bit of those 56 inches. I realise though that I can do better than just feeling this pride. It isn’t easy in first place. We see each other not more than 5-6 days in a month. We are not able to be with each other on days good and bad, when ‘that magical hug’ would have meant everything. We give up a lot. Rather, she gives up a lot. Driven by some unknown force, a deep-rooted emotion to do “justice” I live in a world where everything is simplified, productised, incentivised, and even then “motivations” aren’t easy to build. And on the other hand, is this world. Somewhere in a remote corner with remote amenities. With no line of sight on pay, incentives, promotions etc. With no team engagement, no offsites, no ESOPs, no awards. Yet, mad work ethic. Yet, passion to play every day, every hour, with your everything. Yet, a commitment to sacrifice your prime to serve others. I keep wondering what she’s made up of .. There is a life she leads inside the courtroom. Which I have had a chance to “witness” a few times. Just about always manages to send chills down my spines. And there is a life that she leads outside it. Half a day / long train ride away. Where she works incredibly hard again to make everyone ‘feel her presence’ in fullness To be able to do “justice” in your own life, with your own people, while putting yourself out there, is an unbelievable feat that goes unnoticed and uncelebrated .. Every Monday morning when she heads back, we all (including Buzo) remain a bit numb for a few hours … and then life catches up. Waiting for the next opportunity to see each other, hold each other, laugh with each other, cry with each other, just “be” with each other. Which also always makes us feel very ‘grateful’ for whatever time we get. My job doesn’t help. But I try. She tries harder. We make it work. Having been in love since forever helps .. Few weeks back, when Aditi’s dad was in the ICU, she rushed back late in the night only to head back right next morning on that 6 am train. I asked her on the platform that morning if it was necessary to go, and she said a hundred people, across age groups, were waiting for “justice”, and even a single day missed means these ‘files’ which translates to “human lives” get pushed by 5-6 months, such is the sheer volume of litigation in our country’s courts Like the series pretty well shows, a great number of times, what happens inside the court affects. Even as I write in the moment, I am rubbing my temples, shaking my head in disbelief, as I recall the absolute horrid state of criminal and civil suits I’ve seen play out. She’s become thicker with time, you don’t have a choice, but a lot of these cases, when I narrate them in my founder/VC/tech brethren, almost a cent percent are shell-shocked and don’t relate to this India But here we are :) As obsessed as I am with what I do for a living, I realise in moments like these that part of my diktat in this life is to help Aditi win, and do better, for the millions that are invisible to the India that I serve ..

This is Apollo. This story still stings. I returned from a tour in Iraq in early 2015. My wife was pregnant with our first son. I knew I would not be going anywhere for several months, unless there was a dire need. We decided the time was right to get a dog to add to our growing family. I don't remember how we found Apollo. We got him from the shelter, but I don't know if Dolly saw him online or if we just stumbled across him. I was struck by his amazing eyes. I'd had an Australian Shepherd before and I knew it was a breed that I loved. He hopped right in my car. Dolly even took the back seat so I could sit next to my new best friend. Together, we brought him to his new home. What a great dog he was. We immediately became tied at the hip. I took him for walks, runs, and hikes off leash. I put in the time to train him; we would walk to the bakery or the butcher shop (at the time, we lived the town life), tell him to sit outside, and he would be there on the sidewalk still sitting here when we came out. It was wonderful having such a happy and well-trained dog. Everybody loved him. They'd never seen a dog with eyes like his. I'm sure he loved all the attention too. My first concern came with my newborn son. He did not do as well with children as I would have liked. At times, he gave him a sideways glance that I didn't like. I kept an eye on him as best I could when he was around my son, but he had given me no reason not to trust him, so I didn't worry much. He was wonderful in every other way. Then, suddenly, he wasn't. We had a notary over to collect signatures from us so we could close on a refinance of our home. After sitting at our dining room table for about an hour, signing papers, the notary rose to leave. Apollo, who had been sitting at my feet, must have been startled by the sudden movement. Like a bolt of lightning, he bit. Just once, but it was a shock. The notary was a real mensch. He didn't get angry. He showed humanity. He knew that we would never have had Apollo unrestrained if we had had any idea that he would do something like that. If only everyone was so understanding as he. But fear crept into my heart that there was something about my dog that was not compatible with the family life that we had. We kept Apollo on a shorter leash after that, both figuratively and literally. The off leash hikes were a thing of the past, but we hoped this would prove to be just a one-off anomaly. It wasn't. A month and a half later, just days out from another deployment, I was sitting in my living room talking to a very good friend, a Master Gunnery Sergeant in the USMC (who, as an aside, donated $1,000 to our GiveSendGo campaign to #SaveLucy, thank you 🙏). Apollo was familiar with him already, so I was off my guard, and didn't notice Apollo giving him the stinkeye until it was too late. Apollo lunged and bit. He immediately backed off, but the horrid realization came to me at that moment that my fears were true. My options were limited on the eve of a deployment. To socialize Apollo and train this behavior out of him would take time. I didn't have time. We also didn't have family in the area and Dolly was pregnant again. I couldn't leave my pregnant wife alone for the duration of my tour with a dog who had shown a tendency to bite. I couldn't turn a blind eye to the sideways look he occasionally gave my infant son. Not anymore. I made the devastating decision to rehome him. On what I knew would be our final ride together, he hopped right into the front seat and looked at me, tongue dangling out of his mouth in a happy, sloppy pant, his nub of a tail bobbing up and down, wondering what wonderful adventure daddy was taking him on this time. I'm sure he was confident it was going to be a great time no matter what. It felt like betrayal to me. When we reached the shelter, he faithfully followed me in. We sat in a corner. He leaned against my legs and I stroked his head one final time. It felt like we sat there forever, but I didn't mind. I would have been happy for time to stop, to stay in that moment, just me and my dog, stripped of all externalities, for eternity. But time didn't stop. At length, the door opened and a lady entered. Apollo pressed in against my shins. His 40 pound weight felt heavy. Crushing. I gave him one last embrace, then closed my eyes. "That's a good boy," I whispered, though I couldn't bring myself to look. "I'll always love you." She took Apollo and led him through the door, never for me to see him again. Even today, when I close my eyes, I can still feel the weight of his warm body pressing against mine, trusting me to keep him safe. That was as hard a thing as I've ever done in my life. It was a no-kill shelter, but I played things close to the chest. I did not tell them the worst details. I only mentioned my fear of possible aggression against my child while I was deployed. I did not want to jeopardize Apollo's chance at another opportunity. For months, I kept checking the shelter's website for information about him, but I never saw an update. I do not know what became of him, sadly. I got back home and Dolly asked me where Apollo was. I don't remember if I said anything. I was numb. I hadn't told her where I was going or what I was doing. I had not wanted anything to change my mind. I knew my heart wasn't in it, but I wasn't going to be stopped. It was the right thing to do for my wife, son, and community. Her tears flowed when she realized what I had done. She also loved Apollo. I went to lay on the bed upstairs and be alone. Just weeks later, in a mudhole in the desert, I met my sweet Lucy and my heart began to heal. Saving her from that war zone helped me deal with the lingering guilt I felt about Apollo. I continue to feel the sting of that experience. I wouldn't change what I did though. I love dogs. I will always stand up for dogs when they are mistreated. I will adopt unwanted dogs when I am able. A great measure of a man is how he treats dogs. I aim to always pass that test. But I will always defend human life. Only humans are made in the image of God. I hope and pray that God has a place for dogs when this life is over, but humans He created with souls destined for glory. "You have never talked to a mere mortal," CS Lewis explained. "Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations - these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit - immortal horrors or everlasting splendors." I completely agree. I love dogs. They have no guile in them, no duplicity. A dog will not tell you a lie. I like them better than I like people, often. But I cannot choose a dog over a life that was uniquely created to glorify the Almighty (Isaiah 43:7). I will always protect human life. That is why I served. That is why I deployed several times. To protect people, even when they didn't realize they needed protecting. I failed once. I received a report about a plot to blow up a bomb in Beirut. I got it out with all the speed and precision I could, but it got bogged down by the sideshow of the editing process for hours. I got distracted and didn't follow up on it aggressively. In the end, I'm sure the bureaucrats in their cubicles transliterated the names correctly. I'm sure they crossed every T and dotted every I. But at a price. A devastating price. I woke up the next morning to read in the news that a bomb had gone off in Beirut. It was carried out by the people my report said would carry it out. It took place in the exact locale I said it would take place. 43 people dead. Hundreds wounded. Families shattered. I didn't know these people, but my heart sank. Human life is sacred. I will always work to defend it. If I can save a few dogs along the way, great. That is also the Lord's work. But I will never keep a dog that is a danger to my neighbors. Whatever their sins, their harassment, libel, and cunning deceits, they are made in the image of God with souls destined for eternity. Lucy, my 11-year-old dog that survived ISIS, is no danger to my them. I know it in my very bones. The Mountains Have Eyes said that the DA told him I was not a responsible dog owner when he called to inquire about Lucy. This viewpoint is informed by a false impression given to her by our gossipy, well-connected neighbors, not by the facts. I want to tell her about Apollo. Dolly Spice- Jones 🌱🎵 Leisha

Analyzing Episode 56. Season 2 aka Processing the Past Despite all the prophecies of doom, episode 56 was a delightful watch. The episode begins with Alya walking into prison, only to discover Meryem holding hands with Ciho. And, the way that entire scene is depicted, it's designed to make the audience see things from Alya's pov. Because we know not a few moments earlier, Cihan tells Meryem she should leave Mardin because there's nothing left for her there. However, from Alya's viewpoint, it seems like the past is repeating itself in the way she finds out about Mine and even Boran. Though this time, there's a slight difference because instead of following Cihan and discovering the truth herself, it's Boran who frames reality in the worst possible way. Still, Cihan and Alya's reactions differ slightly at this instance. For example, Alya's anger, while boiling at that moment, diffuses much quicker. And, while she doubts the reason Cihan keeps Meryem's presence from her, she doesn't start doubting their love. That fortress remains strong. Likewise, any time Cihan is discovered by Alya lying to her, he displays this vibe of embarrassment. You know, like wearing the expression of a kid caught doing something he shouldn't have been doing. But this time, when he rushes after Alya, there's a certain assurance in his gait. It's not overt, mind you, because Cihan knows he's in hot water. But it's almost like this time, he's sure of himself because his feelings in the matter are clear. He hides the truth for two reasons: he's protecting himself and Alya. The former because he doesn't want Alya pulling back from him at a time when she's already forced to leave the konak, and the latter because he doesn't want the spectre of Meryem to hurt her in any way. But the part I really liked in this while sequence? Alya's car breaking down. There are always moments in CihAl's story where you see some external force intervening to move their story forward. For example, the way the roads are blocked in ep42. In this episode, fate intervenes yet again, and the message is clear. Don't run from the past; face it. That message is compounded when Boran shows up on the same road to see the fruits of his labor. In the last few episodes, Alya's reactions to Boran seem to have intensified. I don't know why that is, but it seems like Alya's anger seems to be taking over her despair. To the point where Cihan becomes the one to hold Alya back, which, in my opinion, is a good thing. Anger can be cleansing, unlike passivity. And it seems the days of Alya quietly listening to Boran's BS are finally ending. Anyway, the scene moves on to Cihan driving Alya to a remote location to talk things over, which I kind of liked. I prefer when these two go far away from the maddening crowd to iron out their differences. And note, whenever that happens, they happen to be in a location that has a bird's-eye view of the scene below. Kind of like how you try to take in the bigger picture - another nice subliminal message. Cihan kicks off the conversation by saying Boran is trying to cloud Alya's mind, to which Alya responds adequately by saying the only thing messing with her mind is Cihan's attempts to lie because Boran no longer holds any importance for her. Is that true? I think so. Because even though Alya and Cihan are talking about a highly volatile topic, they're relatively calm. Accusations don't fly about either. And, I liked the fact that Alya openly tells Cihan that his trying to keep her in the dark, even to protect her, is what ends up hurting her the most. Because that is the truth. Cihan's reasoning as to why he keeps Meryem's presence from her in this scene is incomplete. He does want to protect Alya from the pain his past includes, but that's only half the reason. The bigger reason is he's trying to do his damnedest to keep Alya with him. He's already failed to try to keep her with him at the konak, but an emotional distance would likely finish him off. Which is why the talk CihAl have at Alya's apartment is so important. When Meryem calls, Cihan stops Alya from leaving the room - which sets the tone of the conversation. When Cihan relates the story of what Meryem has gone through, Alya's reaction is just what's to be expected. She's empathetic towards her plight, of being forced, of facing violence, because while Alya's lucky enough to find love with Cihan, she understands only too well how women are made to feel helpless and powerless. There's this expression on Cihan's face that can only be described as astonishment. Because, despite Alya's past, what she's gone through in Mardin, and despite Cihan's own stupidities, she finds it in her heart to feel for another woman she wouldn't be wrong to feel threatened by. And that's one of the things he is so in love with about Alya. Her compassion. When Cihan says he feels responsible for all that's gone wrong in Meryem's life since that fateful day, Alya asks him why he felt the need to hide things yet again. But this time, the whole truth comes out. Cihan admits he was afraid of her pulling back from him even more. Another thing to note, Alya refers to Meryem as Cihan's first love, not only love. So, she's not doubtful of his feelings for her. What's scary to Alya is how much of a hold those old feelings still have over Cihan. The good news from that point on is that Cihan doesn't keep anything from Alya regarding Meryem again. That includes him trying to send her to Istanbul to set up a new life for her. The scene ends on a relatively happier note of disaster averted. And Cihan and Alya both look better after talking it out. Still, as the viewers, we know that Alya's fear hasn't been defeated, just delayed. And until Cihan gives Alya the kind of resolution she gives him with Boran, it will keep pushing her away from him, like a self-fulfilling prophecy. Now, the next scene I want to talk about is the scene where Cihan and Kaya talk at the tavern/bar. I loved that entire sequence because we keep transitioning between Cihan's focus on Alya (his future) and Alya's focus on Cihan's past. When Kaya asks Cihan how he could fall for Alya after claiming to love Meryem, when Kaya and Sahin kept waiting/fighting for their respective loves, Cihan's answer reveals one of the reasons his past has sprung up on him, because he still doesn't get it. He says he loved Meryem, was tested by that love, gained experience from it, which prepared him to fight tooth and nail for Alya. He's partially right. Yes, the past and its challenges prepared him and chiseled his determination to fight for Alya. But, he's confused about loving someone and being in love with someone. He is so in love with Alya, he's overcome when he's trying to explain the emotion. True love, the deep, enduring, transformational kind, doesn't ever fade. Almost like it's a state of permanent being, because it survives time, distance, and yes, even death. If what you think love is weakens, is downgraded, moves from the heart to merely the realm of responsibility, it's not the 'love' that mankind has written sonnets about, that people dream about, that lovers die for. Because true love doesn't change, doesn't disappear, or relocate itself into something smaller. If it does, it was never that to begin with. Yes, people can love multiple times. But that feeling of being in love, that one love that trumps everything else, is another kettle of fish entirely. And, according to Cihan's own words, his love for Alya is the kind of thing he's never experienced before. Its weighty and rooted so deeply inside him, it's impossible to escape or forget. So, yes, Ciho is partially right to say that what he experienced with Meryem helped ready the man who'd love and fight for Alya like never before, but he's wrong to think that those feelings can be categorized under the heading 'love.' Since Cihan and Alya's story deals with balance, equality, and symmetry, it's unlikely that Alya's past would reveal she never loved Boran, whereas Cihan's past would be something like oh she prepared me for the future. In fact, I suspect it's a little of both for Cihan and Alya. As in, both Boran and Meryem paved the way to their actual true love, and yes, neither of them truly loved their exes. Not to mention, Boran has exposed himself completely, and Meryem's giving off bad vibes already. Alya understood that early on because of what Boran does to her. Cihan is about to learn. Which is why stories ever truly drag the past into the present anyway, because there's a truth, a lesson, a resolution hidden within, after which, the past can finally be buried and be left behind. So, to me, the vibe of ep56 is - processing the past. Looking at it, dealing with it, but most of all, facing it head-on. Essentially, we're seeing Alya and Cihan inch towards clarity now that both pasts are back in their lives at the same time. There’s still a final understanding waiting to click into place, for CihAl, about what love truly is and what it never was. And once that realization lands, the past won’t just be faced… it will lose its hold altogether. #CihAl #UzakŞehir

Dr Jim Chalmers PhD is a smartarse. He let fly on Sussan Ley today, and for the first time since Albanese became leader of the Labor Party, they are worried. They are not afraid of Ley. They are trying to shame her into stepping back into the Net Zero love in. The place where all the establishment elite hang out, eat fine food and slap each other on the back with their gym towels. Ley will be susceptible to this, because deep down she has a strong conviction, an unwavering belief in serving the establishment power and finding the path of least resistance. (The coalition needs a new leader and a new front bench.) But the absolute tantrum being thrown around the Australian institutions right now, can be heard from New Zealand. It shows the coalition are indeed over the target, and that with Australia first policies built on good principles, they can win. All the Labor and Green sympathisers in the media, the pollsters, the academics, the commentariat and the politicians themselves are desperately trying to convince the coalition that they will not win ever again if they change course on Net Zero, climate action and a raft of other things. I am not sure if they are just not that bright, or if they just think we are stupid, but I can’t understand why all these people are so worried about the fortunes of their political opposition. An opposition they really can’t stand. I think it is more likely they are scared that without the coalition pretending along with them on the made-up issues like the desperate need for Net Zero, they will have to tackle some of our real-world problems. Oh… and the big, gigantic taxpayer funded money-go-round will stop. Which means they will have to get real jobs… “yuck”. When Jim Chalmers, called anyone who doesn’t think Net Zero is a good idea “cookers” and “crackpots”, it seemed to me he thinks that the massive opposition to what is now obviously failed policy, is just a fringe group. It isn’t. Anyone with half a brain cell can see the cost of electricity has gone up faster than the transition itself. We have watched the aftermath of the closing of one coal-fired power station after another, being replaced with finicky, intermittent and ill fit ‘renewable’ solutions. It is in every power bill and plastered on the exit door of every major manufacturing-based business closure. It is in the cost of everything we have and do. But the game is over. The world is moving on from Net Zero. We are not even that worried about the clearly overstated climate problem so much anymore. Because they cried wolf, time after time, they bashed us over the head from their private jets champagne in hand, as they called us names. We disgust them. It is clear the Labor/Green arguments on climate have been overstated. The solutions ill thought through and undercooked. The only real winners have been the billionaires, lobbyists and ex-politicians who seem to have extracted more welfare from the Australian public than the NDIS and Centrelink combined, as they are paid to provide infrastructure that does not work. Only to shelve it and ask for another hand-out for the next one. Which they get. The problem is that intermittent energy generation like solar and wind is unstable - by design - and battery technology is far from where it would need to be to stabilise it. Electricity provision is a delicate balance of supply and demand, and random, unpredictable power generation is counterproductive. Too much electricity is as bad as not enough. Simple, predictable and reliable energy sources will always be cheaper. Energy sources that are not reliant on the unpredictable weather, or transient cloud free daylight. the "transition" was always a terrible plan and doomed to fail. That's before you even get to the disastrous execution. The elites really do take us for fools; it's not like any of this was an unknown to them at any point. Meanwhile average household incomes are being beaten into insignificance by inflation, driven by an energy system that has become more complex, and unstable than a Swiss watch balanced on the mast of a yacht, sailing the Sydney to Hobart. Chalmers has never had a real job, but he calls us names. Us... we the people who pay his salary. After the mess he and his mates have caused, he has no right to call us names. In truth, he owes us all an apology. I am certain we would be better off without his help, and I for one begrudge him every dollar he has ever made off the back of the taxpayer. He is a disrespectful, incompetent, and ungrateful waste of a seat. A smartarse of a man not fit to be treasurer. We must do better. I just want Australia back.

Made with Seedance 2.5 using 2 prompts (15s each) + manual stitching. PROMPT 1: ⬇️ 15 seconds, 16:9 horizontal, one continuous photorealistic viral smartphone shot. Absurd surreal comedy scene in a small indoor hotel pool. Realistic environment: tiled walls, fluorescent ceiling lights, metal pool ladders at the sides, pool depth markers, white plastic chairs, vending machines, and 6–8 normal-size spectators in swimwear standing around the pool, laughing, cheering, and filming on smartphones. A giant young sexy blonde woman in her early 20s is floating flat on her back in the pool. Her enormous head, neck, and upper shoulders float naturally on the water surface. Her face is almost horizontal, looking upward toward the ceiling. Wet slicked-back blonde hair spreads slightly in the water. She is exceptionally beautiful, youthful, glamorous, and highly photogenic, with blue eyes, glossy wet skin, and realistic pores. At the very first frame, a full-size normal middle-aged man in plaid swim trunks is already standing barefoot with BOTH FEET planted directly on the center of the giant woman’s forehead above her eyebrows. He is holding a white cup. The man is approximately 180 cm tall in the world of the scene. He is NOT miniature, NOT toy-sized, NOT dwarf-sized, NOT shrunken. His size, height, head size, and body proportions must match the men standing around the pool. He must also match the human scale of the pool ladders, chairs, and vending machines. Only the woman is gigantic. The man is NOT standing on a ladder, NOT standing on the pool edge, and NOT climbing down from anywhere. The pool ladders exist only in the background and never interact with him. The giant woman remains lying flat on her back throughout the scene. Her enormous face floats on the water while the full-size normal man stands clearly on top of her forehead. Do not make him grab her nose. ACTION: 0–3s: Wide poolside smartphone shot. The giant blonde woman floats flat on her back. The full-size normal 180 cm man is already balancing on her forehead with both feet. The crowd behind them laughs and films. She looks upward at him with amused, slightly confused eyes. 3–6s: The man moves quickly and awkwardly across her forehead, taking faster unsteady steps and windmilling his arms while trying not to fall. He should not move carefully or slowly. The crowd reacts louder. The phone camera does a slight shaky push-in. 6–9s: He slips suddenly and slides faster down the slope of her giant face toward her nose and mouth. His white cup flies out of his hand. Her eyes track him and her expression changes from amused confusion to surprised disbelief. 9–12s: She opens her mouth very wide in sudden surprise. He slides directly into the open mouth much faster, feet-first, with a more dramatic loss of balance. 12–15s: He falls completely into her open mouth and disappears fully inside. No part of him remains outside. She closes her mouth, blinks in shock, and the people around the pool erupt in cheers, laughter, raised hands, and excited phone filming. CAMERA / REALISM: One continuous viral smartphone shot from poolside, slightly handheld, natural framing, mild compression, realistic fluorescent indoor lighting, convincing wet skin, water reflections, and splashes. No cinematic grading. The impossible scale should still look weirdly believable: giant woman floating on the water + full-size normal 180 cm man standing on her face + normal-size crowd behind them. TONE: Funny, surreal, visually shocking, and energetic, but not horror. No gore, no blood, no violence, no body horror. CRITICAL NEGATIVES: NO man on ladder. NO man on pool edge. NO man climbing into frame. NO nose grabbing. NO miniature man. NO toy-sized man. NO dwarf-sized man. NO shrunken man. NO woman upright in the water. NO giant head standing vertically. NO scale changes. NO broken anatomy. NO extra limbs. NO glitchy transitions. ---- PROMPT 2 (with a screenshot of the man as a reference): ⬇️ 15 seconds, 16:9 horizontal Use the provided man as the reference identity. Keep his face, hairstyle, age, body type, and plaid swim trunks recognizable. He is the same man from the previous scene. Photorealistic absurd surreal comedy continuation. The man is rushing through a huge surreal internal tunnel inspired by a human colon/rectum, but presented like a bizarre water slide. The tunnel is fleshy, pinkish, wet, and organic-looking, with curved tubular walls, but it stays clean and surreal — no gore, no blood, no fecal content. Water rushes around him as if he is riding an impossible fleshy water slide. The man is visible in the frame for most of the sequence, sliding, spinning, yelling, and trying to hold on as he gets carried forward by the rushing water. The tunnel gradually opens into daylight. He shoots out of the end of the surreal organic slide into a bright real outdoor waterpark splash pool. Realistic sunny waterpark setting: colorful slides, shallow pool, splashing water, and a crowd of people cheering and clapping as he bursts out and lands in the water. He pops up from the splash, shocked but unharmed, while everyone applauds. CAMERA STYLE: cinematic but still realistic, smooth motion as if the camera follows him inside the tunnel, then a clean wide exterior shot for the final exit. Strong realism, good water physics, clear continuity, exciting but playful tone. Tone: surreal, hilarious, high-energy, impossible but convincing. Not disgusting, not gory, not sexual. More like a bizarre theme-park sequence. ACTION TIMING: - 0–4s: Inside the surreal organic tunnel, the man slides feet-first through the wet curved passage while splashing water rushes around him. - 4–8s: He tumbles and spins through the fleshy water-slide tunnel, still clearly visible, yelling and flailing. - 8–11s: The tunnel brightens ahead as daylight appears. He accelerates toward the opening. - 11–15s: He blasts out into a real outdoor waterpark pool in a huge splash, the crowd cheers and claps, and he surfaces looking stunned but okay. Important: preserve the man’s identity from the reference. Keep him visible for most of the interior ride. Make the internal tunnel feel like a surreal organic water slide, not graphic anatomy. No gore, no fecal imagery, no body horror, no broken limbs, no glitching. #AIVideo

Blades of Fire | Hands-On Gameplay Impressions ▪️Recap: New action-adventure IP from MercurySteam (Metroid Dread, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow) ▪️Coming to PS5, Xbox and PC on May 22 ▪️Around 60-70 hours long to complete ▪️You play as Aran de Lira, a forger and warrior who, after suffering a personal tragedy, "finds himself in possession of a magic hammer that lets him enter the forge of the gods to create the only weapons able to defeat Queen Nerea’s forces" ▪️The world is "squarely in fantasy territory", "rich, overabundant, lavish fantasy, as well as occasionally brutal and twisted" ▪️Magic courses through a land teeming with flowers and buzzing with wildlife, and creatures like trolls and elementals romp around ▪️Soldiers sort of look a bit like the Locust from Gears of War, chunky, loitering around. The whole game feels like it has a "chunkiness" to it, a bit like Blizzard games (hands and arms are oversized, buildings/walls are double thick). Combines to make a pleasing visual picture and give a sturdy, hefty feel ▪️"Wildly customizable weapons saves it from being just another action game", "combat is refreshingly different" ▪️Combat: Rooted in directional attacks that use every face button on a controller. On a DualSense for example, Δ aims for the head, X goes for the torso, while ⏹️ and ⭕️ swipe left and right respectively ▪️An enemy holding up a blade to protect their face for instance, can be overcome by aiming low and skewering through their gut ▪️Example: A troll boss can have a second health bar that can only be chipped away after dismembering it. If you use your right hand attacks, you can cut off its club-wielding left arm or cut off its entire face, leaving it blind and aimlessly flailing until it can regrow its eyes back ▪️Your attack and dodge stamina must be manually restored by holding the block button instead of automatically regenerating ▪️You can swap between 4 different weapons on the fly, wield your weapons via different stances, either slashing with the sharp edge or thrusting with the pointed tip; assess enemies to determine which methods are the most effective ▪️Rather than finding new weapons out in the game world, every weapon's life starts in the Forge ▪️You can create up to 7 different weapon types, from twin axes to polearms ▪️You start with your choice of a basic weapon template and tweak and modify and name, for example you can adjust the length of a spear's pole and the shape of its spear head which affects its stats ▪️A longer pole increases the spear's range, while its head shape dictates if its better at slashing or piercing ▪️Different materials also affect a weapon's weight which has an effect on your stamina pool ▪️You then physically hammer out the metal in-game on the anvil through a "remarkably involved minigame", where you control the length, force and angle of every hammer strike ▪️There is a curved line onscreen that represents the ideal weapon, you arrange a series of vertical bars to try and match the shape of that curved line with each hammer strike. Overworking results in a weaker weapon. You're rewarded with a star rating, the more stars you get, the more you can repair your weapon before it permanently breaks ▪️You can instantly remake weapons you've made before to save time ▪️Some found the weapon forging system to be "frustratingly obtuse", as there didn't seem to be a clear connection between the areas struck and the resulting shape of the metal; hoping for better tutorial or improvements before launch ▪️MercurySteam wants you to feel deeply attached to the weapons you create and carry them with you for the duration of your journey ▪️If you die, you lose your weapon upon respawning, but you can go back to where you died to retrieve them ▪️After playing for 3 hours, some hands-on impressions were unsure if the game can support a variety of a 60 hour game ("within 3 hours I’d fought the same gatekeeping miniboss 3 times") ▪️Others also felt there were uneven difficulty spikes, the game chucks multiple types of enemies at you, sometimes in confined areas. Can sometimes feel like you waste precious weapons, rest at an anvil to reforge and then enemies respawn again ▪️One previewer noted that when they started slowing down and nosing through the game's menus and built-in tips to see what they were doing wrong, they learned the game's nuances and it clicked Previews IGN: Full IGN Gameplay: Mirror: Eurogamer: #BladesofFire

Today my power wheelchair hit 15,000 km. Almost every one of those kilometres had a Rottweiler beside it. Losing my legs meant relearning everything. And it was and still is, hard. Opening a door and getting through it. Getting out of bed at 3 a.m. to pee. Even getting into bed. I am eternally grateful a Rottweiler was there for all of it. Kuno, a huge dog with a massive heart, taught me how to live this life. Without him I am fairly certain I would have stayed in bed, stared at the TV, and hated the world. Instead he got me outside, and we learned how to navigate a community built when people like me were expected to live in institutions. Those kilometres were full of firsts. First grocery shop with no help. First time stuck in a couple inches of snow. First time I could not get into a business because they chose an inaccessible location. First time I trained a puppy from a wheelchair. I was painfully self-conscious those first years. The pity smiles. The awkward questions. The stranger in the grocery store who asked to lay hands on me and pray. I coped by getting better at dog training. Kuno and I put a ridiculous number of miles on together. We took classes and found mentors. I learned to drive with hand controls, then bought a used accessible van so we could travel. This wheelchair has rolled all over the prairies when we've completed in Rally Obedience trials. We played in parks in the sun. Trained in the underground parking when it snowed. We gave presentations on service dogs, accessibility, and disability at community groups, schools, and post-secondary institutions. We challenged the city on multiple issues and became the unofficial accessibility watchdog team. At Christmas we raised funds for charities. More importantly, except for a couple of brutal weather days when I had to call emergency dog-walking help, we were out in the community being active. A lot of those kilometres were spent training very specific work: backing in a perfect heel, spins, pivoting beside the chair, even pivots with the dog in front facing me. We got so good it almost became a dance. He walked beside me the first time I rolled down the sidewalk in this chair. I rolled beside him on the last steps he took before he passed away. A few years ago Chesnyy joined the household and the kilometres started adding up faster. We started working with a government-qualified service dog organization and now we teach some of their classes. Last year Chesnyy and I moved into an accessible house with my best friend, and another Rottweiler puppy arrived. There are still a lot of walks left. Winter is still highly inaccessible. After 15,000 km the challenges have shifted. Many barriers are still there and we will keep tackling them. I am more confident now. It took a lot of work, but I have proven myself in the dog training community. I still miss things I can no longer do, but I have accepted this disability and I am trying to live my best life. The bigger fight now is pain. Chronic pain is not new. It was an issue before amputation. Phantom pain no longer surprises me. My shoulders hurts tremendously from transferring and lifting from a seated position. My back aches from sitting. And yes, my butt hurts. Pain makes motivation really hard. The dogs help with that. On the days when I just want to give up, wet noses nudge me on. 15,000 km is a lot for a power chair. I got this one in the fall of 2020. Techs are always shocked at the mileage. They typically see about 5,000 km over the life of a chair. This one will probably need replacing in the next year or so. Thankfully there is some government funding but they only fund base models. Good chairs that are easier on the body and actually work well cost a lot more. A full-time power wheelchair in Canada often starts around $15,000. Add tilt to help prevent pressure sores and you can easily add another $10,000. When you live in the chair it has to be customized. One of the hardest parts of disability is the cost. I am fortunate to have a consistent disability income that covers monthly bills but I don't have extended medical insurance to get upgraded equipment. Prescriptions, physical therapy, and a lot of disability related equipment is all out of pocket. I am not asking for money. I just want people to understand that power mobility is ridiculously expensive, and that a couple of giant-hearted Rottweilers made 15,000 km possible. Today I took the chair off the pavement and did a little 4x4ing so the dogs could run off-leash on a beautiful summer day. Watching them play, I thought about every hard kilometre that got us here. That still makes my heart smile. ❤️🐾❤️ Admin

Seedance 2.5 is incredible It can take you to any city in the world. Xin chào Việt Nam 🇻🇳 It feels like I actually traveled to Hanoi, Vietnam! 👇Feel free to add any city you’d like to visit to this prompt. HANOI TRAVEL VLOG — 30 SEC No reference image. The woman below is described in words and must be built from the text alone. SUBJECT: one Korean woman, early 20s, the only person the film follows. Small oval face with a soft jawline, large round eyes with double lids, a small straight nose, full coral-red lips, fair skin. Black wavy hair tied low at the nape and pulled forward over one shoulder, with loose strands left at the temples. A small gold hoop in each ear. Real Korean skin texture with visible pores — no doll-like AI smoothness, no beauty filter. The face established in the first shot is repeated exactly in every following shot: same features, same hair, same colour. She never morphs into a different person and no lookalike appears. OUTFIT (identical throughout): burgundy ribbed knit halter top, cream high-waist flared trousers, tan leather belt with a gold buckle, burgundy platform heeled sandals, a thin gold bracelet on one wrist. There is no changing shot. CAMERA: she is filming herself on her own phone. Most shots are selfies with her arm extended; objects and food are shot by turning the phone toward them. 16:9 landscape throughout, no black bars. 26mm phone lens, deep focus, neutral iPhone colour, handheld jolt on every step, autofocus landing a beat late, exposure lagging when she moves from bright to dark, a fingerprint smudge bleeding beside strong lights. No cinematic grading, no studio lighting, no glow fx. Background people stay out of focus and nobody looks at the camera for long. DIALOGUE: lines are short and land in one breath. An interjection plus one short sentence is fine, but never two complete sentences strung together. There is breath between them and they are never rushed into each other. Punctuation is used once — no doubled question marks or exclamation marks. The two Vietnamese greetings are not fluent — just phrases she has picked up. (0:00–0:02) — Hotel window, Hanoi morning reveal. Selfie, low angle. She shoves the curtain sideways and narrow tube houses under bundled cables open up behind her. The window blows out white, then the exposure catches up. Bright grin. Dialogue: "Xin chào~ 하노이 왔다!" Transition: Hard cut on beat (0:02–0:04) — Old Quarter junction, a river of motorbikes. Selfie, stepping out between the bikes. She swings the phone to her face while a stream of helmets and conical hats flows behind her, horns overlapping. Overcast daylight, deep focus. Dialogue: "이걸 어떻게 건너?" Transition: Fast cut on beat (0:04–0:06) — Street café. Selfie, arm short. She pushes a glass with condensed milk settled at the bottom toward the lens until it fills half the frame, eyebrows raised. Low backless stools, a stained yellow French wall behind. Transition: Snap cut (0:06–0:08) — Alley bánh mì cart. Insert, phone pointed down at her hands. A baguette split over the charcoal is handed to her in newspaper and she peels the paper down with her fingertips. Steam rises and a few sprigs of coriander stick out of the split. White tube light on the cart, a parked motorbike beside it. Transition: Cut on natural movement (0:08–0:09.75) — Huc Bridge reveal. She raises the phone from her face and tilts it up until the red wooden bridge crossing the lake fills the frame. Natural daylight, sky blown out behind a banyan tree. Her mouth opens slightly. Transition: Soft cut mid-upward motion (0:09.75–0:12) — Train Street café. Selfie. On a low stool beside the track she is holding a coffee glass in both hands; hearing it come she sets the glass down and pulls her stool back against the wall. She looks at the lens, then sideways, and her face collapses into a laugh as a train comes out of the far end of the lane and passes an arm's length away. Dialogue: "헐 진짜 온닷ㅋㅋㅋㅋ" Transition: Cut on the end of the laugh (0:12–0:13.75) — Old Quarter, the 36 streets. Follow from behind, phone low. She shoulders through the packed lane with the bánh mì, finishes the last piece and folds the newspaper away. Unlit lanterns and signs stacked tight overhead, people pushing past. Overcast afternoon light. Transition: Cut on forward movement (0:13.75–0:15.5) — Back seat of a cyclo. Her hands are empty now — the phone low at knee height in one hand, the rail in the other. The street slides past under the folded canopy, the driver's back swaying in front. She looks out, not at the lens. The music drops a beat, leaving only wheels and horns. Transition: Snap cut (0:15.5–0:18) — Phở shop. From here the image is camcorder: blooming tape, light noise, late focus. The camera is fixed at eye level across the counter, no phone or camera visible in frame. Medium. She sits down on a low blue stool under a hand-painted Phở sign. The owner sets a steaming bowl of beef phở down — thin-sliced beef, rice noodles, spring onion, a side plate of sprouts and basil. Dialogue: "쌀국수! 이거 먹으러 왔어~" Transition: Cut on the bowl landing (0:18–0:20) — Lifting the noodles. Macro, phone lowered to the bowl, shallow focus. She draws rice noodles up out of the clear broth with her chopsticks, steam climbing. The steam crosses the lens and one side of the frame hazes over and clears. Only the broth and the slurping at the next stool. Transition: Cut with the noodles still raised (0:20–0:22) — First mouthful. Selfie, handheld. She pulls in a big mouthful, closes her eyes and opens them. Her shoulders drop and she nods once at the lens. Just after sundown, the white fluorescent light of the shop. Dialogue: "미쳤다 진짜." Transition: Cut where her face softens (0:22–0:23.5) — The broth. Selfie, close. She lifts the bowl in both hands, tips it back, sets it down and lets out a breath. The lens fogs with steam. Sound only. Transition: Cut back to phone image quality (0:23.5–0:27) — Tạ Hiện beer street ★signature. She steps into the narrow lane on an extended-arm selfie, walking between the rows of low plastic stools set out on the ground, and slowly lifts her head. Red, yellow and green lanterns hung low across the lane slide over her face and the same colours bleed across the wet ground. Rack focus — her face sharp, the signs behind spreading. Practical light only, no glow. 60% slow motion. Transition: Soft cut with her head still up (0:27–0:30) — Long Biên Bridge, night reveal. Close selfie → arm extends → the river and the Hanoi night open up below. Wind pushes her bangs across her eyes once. Natural night phone exposure. Dialogue: "그럼 모두 tạm biệt~!" She waves broadly at the camera and that same hand covers the lens as the frame goes dark. AUDIO: real location sound over the music. Unbroken motorbike horns and engines, stools scraping the pavement, charcoal sizzling, a train horn and rails, cyclo wheels, broth boiling and chopsticks, slurping at the next stool, night street noise, wind. Her muttering is natural Korean. CONSISTENCY: the same face, the same hair and the same clothes in every shot. Hands and chopsticks are natural with no smeared fingers. No text, no subtitles, no logo and no watermark on screen. No filming equipment is visible in frame. FINALLY: this has to look like footage a real person shot on a phone. Nothing about the face, the skin or the movement should read as AI-generated. Every line of dialogue is enunciated clearly, syllable by syllable — no slurring, no swallowed syllables, no clipped word endings, and the tense consonants and final consonants of Korean are pronounced accurately. Expressions and gestures are not performed; they are what the moment would naturally produce.
