Whoever it is thst keeps demanding every ship do everything really needs to be fired. A hull has a limited amount of space and thus can only do so many things. For like the last 20 of so years, essentially nothing new has been made except the LCS, because they kept demanding ships be mini Arleigh-Burkes, while also doing their original intended job. I'm not saying they can only do 1 job. I'm saying make a new hull, then divide up the jobs begeeen the hulls being produced, based on priority.

USMC cannot do amphibious warfare, so, now save USMC from its generals' incapacity for the kind of inductive thinking Boyd demonstrated. Urgently build high-speed, long-range 1) amphib assault to replace ACV; 2) amphib logistics to replace LCAC.
