No Western country has such deep legitimacy of government like Iran. The funeral of Ayatollah Khamenei with more than 12 million people only in Tehran has shown the level of legitimacy of the Iranian state. Another miscalculation of the US is that it underestimated the ability of Iran to retaliate, that is why the US has paused the strikes. Watch FULL here:
