Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad (Neo Geo, Saurus, 1998)

they put it on Steam, but apparently not many review maybe bc you can play it for free on any emu lol

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW LONG I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS! THANK YOU!

Glad you found it!

i discovered this game way too late in my life, the art is top tier

call me crazy this looks like a top down metal slugs

Great game

Love this series but I’m a bigger fan of the first game. Wish we’d see a modern revival! I miss the big sprites and animated violence. Everything is now either ultra-realistic or pseudo pixel art.

One of the arcade games I sank the most time into, besides Vendetta

LÉON + LULU THE BEST TEAM EVER

Smooth af :o! wow

Great game even if it fails to reach the level of the first one. Thanks god I got the AES version decades ago for a good price

We can argue it's not as good as the first Shock Troopers, but darn if it isn't still a good time.

Gonna get this soon

way worse than the first one

Never heard of this but it kinda reminds me of Metal Slug

wowow the animation is so detailed

@NoSoloBits Classic Neo Geo run-and-gun! 🎮 That arcade cabinet ate so many quarters back in the day. The 4-player co-op was absolute chaos in the best way possible.

yummy crunchy sound

Why we crew? Why we troop! DA SQUAD

Buen juego

A great game!

This looks very similar to a game I played a lot as a child, M.E.R.C.S.

Buen juego, Para mi el primero es superior en todo 🤔

The death animation of the enemies makes me feel sad.

love this game

Looks fun but i missed the gore from the first.

Juegazo

Le metí buenas horas a este, aunque me gustaba más el primero.

I loved this game! I had it on mame32 back in college.

This reminds me of Heavy Barrel. Did it have a twisting stick as well?

Nope, normal stick!

Oh

Another metal slug
