#WATCH | Delhi: On reports of a proposed march to Parliament by CJP on 20th July, tomorrow, DCP New Delhi, Sachin Sharma says, "In view of reports of proposed march to Parliament by CJP on 20th July, it is categorically clarified that no such application for permission has been received or given to Delhi Police or no such permission has been granted. Prohibitory orders under section 163 BNSS are in force in whole of the New Delhi district area so according to that assembly of 5 or more persons, protest marches or demonstrations are not allowed except for the designated protest site Jantar Mantar that too only after permission. From tomorrow onwards, Parliament session is also commencing so elaborate security arrangements would be in place for public safety and security of protectees as well as for protection of vital government installations. Any person violating the applicable 163 BNSS orders will be liable for legal action. Therefore, Delhi Police appeals to all the citizens that they respect law and refrain from participating in any unauthorized gatherings or marches and cooperate in maintaining public peace safety and security"

Ravinder Jatheri is on Hunger Strike since last 77 days against the misuse of SC/ST Act. But, our Govt, Judiciary and even Media are least bothered. When protests were announced against UGC bill then Govt used brutal force and arrested hundreds of people to prevent them from organizing any protest. Govt denied us permission multiple times to protest at Jantar Mantar against the misuse of Laws and Male Suicide. We were forced to leave the protest venue sharp at 5 pm whenever we protested at Jantar Mantar. Our entire team were arrested within 10 minutes when we assembled to do a candle March at India Gate in Dec 2024 to demand Justice For #AtulSubhash. But, the same Govt provided protection and allowed CJP to protest at Jantar Mantar for weeks. Seems, Govt of India has decided to implement 100% reservation in organizing protests and demonstrations. Only women, LGBTQ and some special category people are allowed to do any kind of protests in the country now.
