A #Swiggy rider suffered critical injuries after he was run over by a man driving a Scorpio in #Gurugram. The incident, captured on CCTV and on the mobile cameras of other Swiggy delivery executives, occurred after the rider protested against the driver for knocking down his bike with his car. In CCTV footage, five to six Swiggy riders are seen standing at a roadside pickup point in Sector 93, waiting to receive orders. A black Scorpio appears and hits a parked motorcycle, belonging to Tinku, and flees. Moments later, the Scorpio comes back and swerves towards the riders, attempting to hit them. In the process, the car again hits the bike, which was knocked down earlier, and vanishes again, the CCTV shows. Angered by the impact, Tinku confronted the driver, shouting, “What are you doing, brother?” according to police. The confrontation appeared to enrage the Scorpio driver, identified as Dr Naveen Yadav, who allegedly turned the vehicle around, accelerated, and ran over the rider standing outside the eatery point, before fleeing the spot. Several other Swiggy riders present at the scene narrowly escaped being hit. Tinku suffered severe injuries to his head, chest and legs. A video captured by one of the delivery executives shows the Scorpio charging towards Tinku and reversing, before coming forward again and running over him, and fleeing the scene. Police reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. Tinku was first rushed to Civil Hospital in Gurugram and was later shifted by his family to a hospital in Rewari due to the seriousness of his injuries. Based on CCTV footage and vehicle registration details, police traced the Scorpio and seized the vehicle. Preliminary investigation revealed that the SUV is registered in the name of Dr Naveen Yadav, who is based in Gurugram. Police said the doctor was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.
