He continued to leave a large gap between them. He didn't run up on her or seriously try to close the gap. Looks like she could have easily outrun him if she wanted to. She was being followed but was not in imminent danger of losing her life.

Much more to this story. The initial issue began 30 minutes prior, over a parking spot. He went into the store when he returned she was waiting. All could have been avoided by walking away. So senseless, argh

🚨 NO CHARGES: Woman who shot an Army veteran dead over a Walmart parking spot is immune under Stand Your Ground. In a Walmart parking lot in North Lauderdale, Florida, a dispute over a parking space ended in the fatal shooting of 62‑year‑old Bart Diguglielmo. Witnesses report that the woman involved repeatedly warned him to back off before a single shot was fired. She did not flee. She stayed on the scene and immediately asserted that she acted in self‑defense. Under Florida law, a person who is in a place they have a right to be—like a parking lot—does not have a duty to retreat if they reasonably believe force is necessary to prevent death or serious bodily harm. In a case like this, the question is whether she reasonably believed she was in danger and acted to protect herself. A disagreement over a parking space should never become a death sentence. Yet Black women who act to protect themselves are too often presumed guilty before the facts are fully examined. 🎥: @abcworldnewstonight
