Shocking incident from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. A wedding procession was underway. The groom had mounted the horse, guests were dancing, and celebrations were in full swing ,when suddenly, an electricity department employee arrived and disconnected the power supply to the groom’s house. The unexpected action left the groom embarrassed... in front of relatives and guests. Local residents have called the move insensitive and irresponsible, especially during a sacred and socially significant occasion like a wedding. According to the groom, while the wedding procession was about to leave, electricity officials came without any prior notice and cut the connection. What makes the situation more concerning is that the family had taken the electricity connection two months ago and has been paying the bills regularly. There were no outstanding dues. Despite this, the lineman disconnected the power. Such actions raise serious questions about accountability and professionalism.
