What this proves is that Kinyarwanda is a Bantu language like Shona, and there is no such thing as “Bantu” vs. “Nilotic” people, a conspiracy theory used in eastern DRC which falsely presents the “Tutsi” as “Nilotic” & therefore “foreign” to the region. The people living in the Great Lakes are Bantuphone, like those in the south of Zambia & Botswana as well as in Zimbabwe, who speak Shona.

The similarities in words is insane. The more I learn about about Africa, the more I'm surprised how much I don't know about our mother continent. Mostly how we were one people back a century ago 😔. Africa needs to rise!
