Design is one of the few professions where almost everybody has an opinion. I have met someone, a designer who had a bit of a concern. She had mentioned that "Every time she present her work, everybody wants something different. By the end of every meeting, it always feel like she does not know what she is doing." Truth be told a lot of designers have been there. Most feedback comes out genuine. Some is even based on experience. While some is simply their personal preference that wears feedback as bongo trousers. It gets even harder when you are new to the company. You will want to prove yourself, thats how you will fall into the trap of trying to satisfy everyone. Come.. Just come closer, let me tell you something. Don't start what you cannot finish. If one person wants the button full corner radius, and another person wants the corner radius set at 10px, and someone else wants it without any at all, you will just find yourself making changes without making the product any better. Stop asking, "Which idea do people like?" Start asking, "What problem are we trying to solve?" Every piece of feedback has to answer that question. If it solves the problem, it is worth exploring. If it is only a preference, or belongs to the category of folks that says "my wife thinks the button should fly" acknowledge it and move on. Just accept that you CANNOT please everyone. You become better by learning which opinions deserve your attention. Enjoy your day.

Karl-Anthony Towns talks about feeling the presence of his late mother and the support he's gotten from his fiancé, Jordyn Woods: "Her presence is always felt in my life. You always pray you're going to pick the right woman for you and I know I did in my fiancé. I damn sure know now with that bag, that bag held it down. Shout-out to Woods by Jordyn. It's crazy, when she passed, there was so much turmoil in my life. Funny enough, my fiancé was the one, who was a friend at the time, was the only person I got to call before I had to go out there and say bye to her at the hospital. Me and her have a real bond that goes deeper than just physical features and everything like that. We've got a true friendship that was built from the ground up. I remember just always asking her if this was going to be my last time seeing her in the physical, let me feel her spirit at all times. In moments of true pressure and a lot of things going on, I always feel this calming come to me and it's always her. It's just great to always feel her arms around me and always to feel her love in my life, in so many different ways. It's a testament. I haven't felt love from a woman like that until I met my fiancé. It really means a lot that, in a way - without sounding weird - Jackie Jr. was able to be here celebrating this moment with me. It's amazing. It's truly a humbling feeling when you know you have walked the path. I stayed faithful. In every decision that I was supposed to make, I made the right one. This is one of the greatest displays of the creative process I’ve seen. It perfectly illustrates something many of my favorite artists have described. When you go to the studio, Mayer was asked, what do you do to generate ideas? “Well, I don’t always do it,” he admitted, “because it requires a stupid bravery all the time.” Mayer strums a couple chords without singing. A nice melody begins to form—“you can sit here all day [doing this] and go, ‘Okay, maybe that’s something.’” “But if you don’t go,” and then he starts improvising vocals, “Sunlights beating on the corner of the walls / and I’m a Mr. know-it-all / heaven calls / get yourself right / get yourself right,” he stops, raises his finger to his mouth, and explains, “if you’re not ouija boarding immediately, you’re wasting time.” “You just stare at the corner of the wall,” he says, before improvising some more, “Stare at the corner of the wall / try to get it going on / but I can’t sometimes / you just keep going 'til you get something / maybe I’m a little bit shy / maybe someday I’ll tell you why.” He stops singing to say, “you gotta keep forcing it, forcing it, forcing it. Whether we’re trying to read, write, create a song, or generate ideas—when you sit down and try to focus, Huberman explains, “The brain circuits that turn on first are of the stress system...The agitation and stress that you feel at the beginning of something—when you’re trying to lean into it and you can’t focus: you feel agitated and your mind’s jumping all over the place—that is just a gate. You have to pass through that gate to get to the focus component.” He uses a great analogy: “You have to wade through some sewage before you can swim in clear water. That’s the way I always think about it.” Essentially: you become creative by creating, you get more creative the more you create. At the start of a focused creative session, bad ideas almost always come out first. If you want a low-carb sandwich that hits the spot, this one’s for you. The cheese is actually baked into the eggplant, making a great flatbread like vessel that you can use to make your favorite lowcarb, keto-friendly sandwich. Top it up with whatever you want. Grab 1 large eggplant and thinly slice it using a knife, mandoline or vegetable peeler. 2.Season them with salt, lay the slices on a paper towel and pat them dry after 5 mins. 3.Grab an oven-safe tray, line it with parchment paper, and sprinkle a thin layer (1 serving) of shredded cheese (ideally mozzarella) directly on the paper. Can I borrow your attention for two minutes ? Wrote this out 200 times and it still feels wrong but here goes. As a lot of you know my Dad passed on a while back. It massively derailed the recording and release of this forthcoming album (it’s now coming out in May) But it also really derailed me. My Dad was a complex fella. Full of good and bad traits (aren’t we all). Anyway I wanted to do something that sums up the grief process. How it feels when a particular person enters your head. It isn’t a linear thing is it? It comes and goes. The album isn’t remotely doomy and im not even sure the original concept was about my Dad, but because I recorded it during his final weeks, it shall, in my mind at least always be about him. I’ve been told that I should release a different song to this because it’s a bit depressing to be on BBC Radio 2 and whilst I love being on the radio, some things are about being true to yourself aren’t they? When we toured recently loadsa people cried when we played this one and so that gave me the confidence to put it out. Also my dad would have loved the attention 🤣. He was the bands biggest fan. Always letting me know if we’d had a spin on the radio or where the albums had got to in the chart and giving me his feedback on my demos. There's absolutely no reason that the government and the school system should be transitioning a young minor, encouraging them to get surgeries, encouraging to get medical treatments that they can't take back without the consent or knowledge from the parents. Actually, they help hide this from the parents. When I was a kid, when an adult said, hey, don't tell your parents, that was a giant red flag. Why are we just glossing it over now and acting like all of this is okay? California everyday tries to pass more laws to try and take away parental rights from their children. And don't take this as me saying, hey, go be a Republican. I'm saying, hey, go vote for what you believe in because I don't believe in anything that the democratic party stands for anymore. It's wrong. It's disturbing on so many levels.

This is one of the greatest displays of the creative process I've seen. It perfectly demonstrates something known as the "Creativity Faucet." When you go to the studio, John Mayer was asked, what do you do to generate ideas? “Well, I don’t always do it,” he admitted, “because it requires a stupid bravery all the time.” He strums a couple chords without singing. A nice melody begins to form—“you can sit here all day [doing this] and go, ‘Okay, maybe that’s something.'” “But if you don’t go,” and then he improvises vocals, “Sunlights beating on the corner of the walls / and I’m a Mr. know-it-all / heaven calls / get yourself right / get yourself right,” he stops playing, raises his finger to his mouth, and explains, “if you’re not ouija boarding immediately, you’re wasting time.” “You just stare at the corner of the wall,” he says, before he improvises some more, “Stare at the corner of the wall / try to get it going on / but I can’t sometimes / you just keep going 'til you get something / maybe I’m a little bit shy / maybe someday I’ll tell you why,” he stops singing, “you gotta keep forcing it, forcing it, forcing it.” “It doesn’t matter [what comes out of your mouth]...You gotta get fearless, fearless, fearless, fearless…It’s hard to do.” Takeaway 1: In the clip, we see John Mayer's ability to generate vocals steadily increase.
