📢📢Context/Details 📢📢 The STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) competition holds the world record for the shortest landing at 9 feet 5 inches. The competition is held in Valdez, Alaska. An aircraft's STOL performance is its ability to: -> Take off and clear a 50-foot obstruction from 1,500 feet away -> Stop within 1,500 feet after crossing a 50-foot obstacle on landing. STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) aircraft are fixed-wing aircraft that can take off and land on runways that are shorter than conventional aircraft. Most STOL aircraft use runways that are no more than 500 feet long, which is about 10 times shorter than the average runway. Many STOL aircraft can also use airstrips with harsh conditions, such as ice or high altitude. 📣 hope this was informative 📣
