JADE delivers a beautiful speech after being awarded the Freedom of the Borough by her hometown, South Tyneside: “I drove here this morning and thought I’d write down a few words because I get really nervous with public speaking. I know I can’t swear, but I am shaking like a [bleeping] dog… It’s not a poem, I don’t know what this is. It just came from the heart: Whenever someone asks me where I’m from, I say: ‘Up North. South Shields. Have you heard of it? It’s next to Newcastle or Sunderland, depending on which team you support.’ ‘Yeah, but… Where are you REALLY from?’ And I know what that *really* means. But I’ll entertain it, since it fills me with pride. I am a ‘little mix’ – of English; Egyptian; a bit of Yemeni. My granddad was an immigrant, touched down in the Mill Dam. I’m from Laygate, where I’d stand outside my granddad’s mosque shouting ‘Eat me carrot!’ instead of ‘Eid Mubarak!’, collecting pound coins to spend at the tuck shop. 34 languages in my primary school. My mam worked there – my very own Diana Ross. That’s where I found my love for music: Motown to musicals, Clubland, and pop. My dad was a taxi driver, nicknamed ‘TickTock’ before TikTok was around. His taxi mates would make sure I’d get home safe after a night out. And now I’ve got my own bar – so we’re gannin oot the neet – where everyone’s welcome: a safer and more accepting space for my LGBTQ+ friends; something we were missing growing up. I’m from the Customs House, where I learned my craft. Where every Boxing Day birthday, we’d watch the little panto with the big heart, and I’d think: ‘One day, I’m gonna make it, and everyone will know where I’m from.’ ‘I can’t believe this is where you’re from!’ my boyfriend says, amazed at the coast line. I’m from my dog’s new favourite place: a cuppa and cookie from Bessy’s van while we walk along the beach in The Leas. ‘Minchella’s is the best ice-cream, y’know,’ I tell him. ‘And this is where you get the best fish and chips. Where every family achievement is celebrated with a Colmans. Every heartbreak is fixed with mince and dumplings.’ Another visit to my nanna’s and granddad’s in Simonside. The kettle was always on; the sandwiches were out. I’m from the place where the people I love the most reside. People I’ve loved and lost; memories stained in all our favourite spots; ashes scattered in the Mill Dam. Well… that’s not all that’s in the water! They say, ‘There’s something in the water. There’s talent in the Tyne. This is a big river, where a small town makes big names. Don’t forget where you’ve come from.’ How can I, when it’s my home? I’m from a place where pride is our passion. We get our kicks from supporting our own – whether it’s South Shields FC or Joe McElderry or Chris and Rosie Ramsey. Where ‘VOTE LITTLE MIX’ was on the Metro bulletin, in every window, in every shop, in every house. I still feel that love and support now… and it always pulls me back. My heart bursts when the train pulls into Newcastle. My dad picks us up and he drops us at my mam’s. Dear Everyone, The last few days have been hell. Losing Kiyo has not been easy and I’m not ok. Kiyo gave me the best time of my life. The level of joy you brought into my word and any space he was able to exist in was incomparable. Kiyo was my lover, my best friend, and my truth. He truly saw me for who I was and I saw him for who he was. I didn’t just love him, I believed in him, prayed for his victory. I cared for him. Who would have thought that bringing back a piece of Tupperware would invite me into the world of the purest, kindest soul in the world. Kiyo would do anything for anyone. He was my hero and I was his. We both kept our capes on for each other whenever we needed to save the other person. I am grateful that I got to experience a love like his. I am grateful I got to spend some of the best moments of my life with him. I am grateful that even I grieve I still feel his warmth and care. Kiyo taught me be more patient and understanding and no matter how we came into this world and no matter how bad the world treated us, it doesn’t give us the right to exact that same unkindness to others. He loves animals, anime, a good meal, Steven Universe, a really inappropriate joke, and you never had to guess how he felt about you. As he was goofy he was charming. I still feel his hands interlocked into mine and he was fearless. He loved like no other man I have met in this world could. The first night we reconnected he gave my cat Patrick the middle name Bayard. He gave me first Christmas full of love and laughs. The first man in my life to actually pay attention to me and surprise me with gifts that he knew I would love and were true to who I was as a nerd. Anytime I could get it, I was with him. He had full access to my home and my heart. To Mike and Rico thank you for always being there for him and caring for him, Mike you coming into town in March really lit him up. First time I got to dance with him. Rico thank you for taking him to there museum. He loved every moment of it. All he could do was rave about how much made his day. To Tony, his wife and his gaming community on Destiny 2, thank you for being patient with my baby and giving him space to be man that he was and to his Dad and his brothers. He loved y’all more than you know. All he wanted was for y’all to be ok. And to all his true friends and loved ones know that he always thought of y’all. I will never say goodbye to Kiyoki-D’Andre Marcel Toliver, I will say see you later because no matter where you are I know you are watching me because what we had was Immortal. As I grieve I will try to give any notice on his memorial service which will be in NYC because his grandmother sent him here to find the best version of himself and I know he truly did. this is so cute please 🥺🤍🤲🏻 🐳: I had concert rehearsal on that day, so I planned to just came see OffGun around 11 am. He knew that if I came early it means I wouldn’t stay until the show time and leave early, I got caught. He said “Coming this early, you won’t be there, will you?” and I replied “Yeah, I have to rehearse.” I then left at 11:40 am did some errands. The rehearsal started around 3 pm and 3-4 hours long, so I thought I wouldn’t be able make it in time. I don’t know why, but suddenly I decided to go back and watch the concert anyway. I requested to show up late for the rehearsal and would come in the evening. I didn’t watch them until the end though because I had to leave for rehearsal. Off got confused seeing my IG story, “I thought you won’t watch us.” I better not say this but it’s like— we’re not in a friendship where we talk nice to each other, it’s not like we hate each other, we’re just not used saying nice things, it’s shivering. But that day he said “Thank you na~ good luck na~” things like that. I then replied in a way like “Yeah, I came back all the way just to watch you.” He thanked me— don’t tell him about this na, he thanked me and wished me good luck for my concert. We’re in a friendship like… it’s hard to make a new friend anymore, so we need to be good to each other, do you understand how it feels? After he said good luck, I had no courage to reply anymore, I just can’t. It’s cute anyway, Off is showing his soft side to people more, just like the song “My Weakness is In My Heart”. Warren Buffett says using leverage is foolish. Why risk what you have and need to chase what you do not have and do not need? No matter the odds, if the downside is everything, do not do it. He is right. But real estate is a different game. That rule is built for paper. Pull up Sam Zell or the other people I follow, and you get a completely different answer. Here is the real difference. Paper is paper. Real estate is control. I do not love the paper world. I do not like the volatility, and I do not feel like I can control it. Control is the whole thing. I control the debt I take on. The interest rate. The monthly payment. And I never over-leverage. I control the apartments too. The occupancy. The expenses. The rents, to the extent the market lets me. Paper gives me none of that. I do not understand it well enough to control it, and it does not have the predictability real estate does. Now the harder question. If I paid everything off and sat on 600 million debt-free, would my life really change versus 1.5 billion with 900 million in debt? Honestly, no. I do not personally need more. But that is not what this is about anymore. I am running a legacy play now. My kids are involved. This is succession. He is not wrong about leverage. It just depends on what you can actually control.

Happy Sunday! I wanted to sit down for a second to introduce myself and provide receipts for all of the people who are rightfully cautious in a moment like this! It’s ok if you haven’t seen me before this week, but I’m definitely not a new comer. I started my podcast in the 4th grade at 11 years old. Charlie and Candace were two of my first ever guests. They were speaking at a local campus together and for some reason took a chance on me. Charlie and I exchanged numbers afterwards and have stayed friends, texting just before the assassination because he took the time to congratulate me on an accomplishment when he definitely didn’t have to take the time to. He came on my podcast a second time just a few years ago. Last year, at the RNC we met up and had a conversation where he encouraged me to start speaking at TPUSA chapters. I had no experience and was nervous but he said they needed more students speaking to students and I would learn as I go but he believed in me. I did that tour last year, and that’s why I’m speaking at TPUSA chapters again. Because he inspired me. The TPUSA chapters are doing amazing, and TPUSA and their Tours team and local reps are impressing the world as they keep seamlessly pulling off adding more and more chapters. Happy Sunday! I wanted to sit down for a second to introduce myself and provide receipts for all of the people who are rightfully cautious in a moment like this! So, life update that worries me... Didn't sleep well last night. Was too worried if this drunk and drugged-up native was going to come back. I took my son to our local butcher, well not too local, it’s about 30 minutes away. He’s getting to be at an age where he’s beginning to be extra compassionate. This is him taking my phone for whatever reason since he has his own, and recording the cows. My dilemma is I can’t hide from him anymore what the fate of these specific animals are. I’ve taken him to this butcher/farm off and on for years. He still loves eating his steak and ribs of course because who doesn’t. But now he’s beginning to associate the truth that the cows he goes and pets and befriends will be the same ones in the display counter where he picks out his steaks. Am I wrong for not wanting to clarify and tell him that’s the case, should I just let him find out on his own? He’s already going through puberty now as we speak, he’s been extra hormonal and angry. I don’t know if I want to add another burden for him. I don’t want to tell him the animals he loves are the ones he’s been eating. Part of me wants to just get it over with but a part of me wants to not say anything, I don’t want to speed things up for him too quick. He has no problem buying steaks from grocery stores and such. The problem I’m facing now is that this place that sells meat also is where they raise the cows for slaughter. So the ones we see on the farm will be the same ones weeks from now that we will be eating. I’m not sure what I want to do just yet but I’ll keep you posted.

Day 18 of my 30 Day Water Fast. LONG but IMPORTANT read. 💕💦 Last night at 4 AM, I made a decision—I wiped everything from my Instagram and TikTok that was posted before this fast started. Every video, every picture, every piece of content—gone. Why? Because I felt like everything I had posted before was created with greed, lust, anger, resentment, and bitterness. And just keeping those memories up was holding me back from the person I’m trying to become. If you truly want to change, you have to let go of the old version of yourself. You can’t cling to things that no longer serve you. I get it. You’ve seen this before. You’ve heard me say it a million times. And that’s why when someone in my chat said, “How many days do you guys give him until he crashes out again?” That sh*t hurt. Because I know my past behavior has given the world every reason to doubt me. But instead of waiting for me to fail, I think the better thing to say is: “I know you’ve fallen so many times, but I pray this time you truly stay consistent.” Because I truly do want to change. I hated who I was. And if I could erase every clip, every post, every trace of the old me from the internet, I would. But I can’t. That version of me will live online forever. The biggest thing I’m realizing during this 30-day fast? I don’t like selling my soul. I don’t like being on camera 24/7. I don’t like giving people the space to say whatever they want about me, in my own home, in my car, in my personal life. I used to feed off the hate, the anger, the negativity. I let it drive me. But now that I’m trying to live in light, that same energy is holding me back. Every step forward, I get dragged two steps back just by being in this space. And yeah, I know the irony of me saying all this while still streaming 24/7. But until I find another way to make a living, I have to do what I have to do. I said I was gonna complete 30 days live to prove I didn’t eat—so I’m gonna finish it, no matter how much I hate doing it. And yeah, I’m pissed off today. Doing this during Ramadan was the worst decision I could’ve made. Dry fasting all day and then breaking my fast with only water, black coffee, electrolytes, and green tea is insane. If I could do this again, I’d do it outside of Ramadan so I could at least drink water during the day. Sorry for the long read. Just had to get this off my chest.

But one subject always stuck: "No matter how bad I was at school, and no matter how low my grades might have been at sometimes, I always was good at English." So he taught himself the only way he knew how. He read the dictionary. The Story Of Robber… “Yes, Robber was one of my toughest rescues. He’s about eight years old and grew up wild on Koh Samui. Locals fed him for years, but no one could ever touch him. Those same people reached out when Robber suddenly showed severe neurological symptoms — until his whole body shut down. Happy Doggo rescued him from the beach, but in the end, no one knew what to do. So I took Robber home. And that’s where it all began. It wasn’t only about healing. It was about teaching him to come back to life. Robber had a serious blood infection. His right eye was badly damaged. He was weak and heavy; his body kept cramping, and he couldn’t move at all — just lying there, trapped in himself. It was hard to work with him, but he fought through with incredible willpower. But that wasn’t the only challenge. Robber is a free spirit. He’d let me touch him, but everything in his body said he didn’t want it. He escaped twice. He tore down my doors, broke through my fence, and ran off, lost and confused, searching for home. Catching him again was exhausting — for both of us. Even with all that distance, he wanted to sleep in my bed. The vet had to remove his eye later on. Then came the final stage of healing. I did everything I could to make sure he felt safe and comfortable before I took him back home. I’ll never forget his face — that spark, that joy — when he realized where he was. Seeing him run across the fields again, proud, tail high, ears up, meeting his friends… there’s no greater happiness. It was a tough journey, for one single dog. Back in June of 2022, I was out for an early morning ruck when a guy on a bike skidded to a stop beside me and asked if I was Mike Rowe. I nodded and grimaced. I would have said “yes" and smiled, but the 65 lbs on my back had robbed me of my normal good humor. The man spoke with a French accent and bubbled with enthusiasm. “I have followed your career with great interest,” he said, “and I listen to your podcast every week! I very much appreciate your efforts to inspire the world with stories of grit and determination! I hope to one day do the same! Any advice?” He told me his name was Cyril. His last name didn’t stick, but it started with a “D” and had lots of letters. “Well,” I said, “you should probably get famous first. Nobody in this country listens to anyone who isn’t famous.” Cyril smiled and said, “I am going to pedal across the Pacific Ocean in a kayak, all by myself. I will be known for this!” Clearly, I had encountered another lunatic on the bike path. There’s no shortage of them in this part of the country, but at least this one was charming. “Sounds ambitious,” I said. “When do you leave?” “Next week,” he said. “I will pedal from Monterey, California, to Hilo, Hawaii. It will take me several months and require all of the strength and perseverance I possess. When I return, I would love to share my experience with you and your listeners.” “Pedal?” I asked. "You mean paddle, right?” “No, I mean pedal. My kayak has pedals, like my bike. It is why I ride every day. I will pedal across the Pacific Ocean, alone." “Sounds like fun,” I said. “If you live, I’d love to hear about your adventure.” Cyril laughed and gave me his number. I watched him ride off, legs pumping furiously, and got on with my ruck, fairly confident our paths would never cross again. But I was wrong. Do you remember?” He had a beard this time, but there was no mistaking his voice or his enthusiasm. “Of course,” I said. “You’re the lunatic who was going to pedal across the Pacific Ocean in a kayak all by yourself.” “I am!” he said. “And I did!” “Congratulations!” I said. “And, I lived!” “I can see that,” I said. "How long did it take you?” “Ninety-one days and nine hours,” he said. “It was the adventure of my lifetime.” “That's incredible," I said. "I’d love to hear all about it. Can you come to Santa Monica to record an episode of the podcast?” “I would love to,” he said, “but not right now. I’m training very hard this month for my next adventure.” “What now?” I asked. “I am going to pedal across the Atlantic Ocean in my kayak, all by myself.” “Sounds ambitious,” I said. “When do you leave?” “In two months,” he said. “I will pedal from the Canary Islands to Martinique. It will take me several months and require all the strength and perseverance I possess. When I return, I would love to share my experience with you and your listeners.” “Great,” I said. “If you live, I’ll make sure we get you on this year.” Cyril laughed and rode off, legs pumping furiously, and a few months later, I googled the crazy Frenchman, and learned that Cyril Derreumaux had become the only human to pedal across both oceans in a kayak, all by himself. He now holds three Guinness World Records and done something no other human has even attempted. And now, he’s out in the world, telling true stories of grit and determination, inspiring people with every incredible sentence, and challenging the species to boldly go into an uncertain future with humor, grit, and perseverance. I’m not saying Cyril Derreumaux isn’t a lunatic. You’ve got to be a little crazy to pedal over the world’s oceans in a kayak all by yourself. So there is no ambiguity, the politicians that I named in the removed videos include; 1. Angela Rayner - Deputy Prime Minister 2. Yvette Cooper - Home Secretary 3. Andy Burnham - GM Metro Mayor 4. Jim McMahon OBE MP - Government Minister 5. Debbie Abrahams - Chair of Government Select Committee There are others also including a number of local level councillors and public officials. I can confirm that lawyers paid for by The Labour Party have contacted me with a threat to sue me for defamation and also attempted to blackmail me. I wrote back to them last June confirming I will see them in the High Court where my evidence can be tested. Interestingly, despite their threats, I am still waiting to hear back from them.
