You guys watch like 20 hours of wrestling a week. Aew fans get 4 hours not including overruns and ppvs. To the normal Aew fan, an extra 30 minutes of quality wrestling isnt a make or break because we dont ingest as much as yall. Look at it from a "normal" consumer pov.

Everytime I see one of these clips it just comes off like he wants AEW to basically be WWE.

Can Alvarez just go work for WWE Radio at this point? He’s a fucking jackass. I don’t think he can do one episode without bitching about something.

Dave won't admit or truly doesn't get it. The overrun has never spiked interest or generated ratings. Back when the quarter hours were made public, the drop off was always significant. Not to mention there is no surprise. Tony announces every single match and segment before the show. There is no surprise, no spontaneity.

Alvarez needs a vacation more than anyone I’ve ever seen in any career. Dude is so so so bitter.

If they’re going to go over by 30 or more minutes then it should be an exclusive 2.5 or 3 hour episode. I don’t mind the overrun but 15 minutes should be the maximum about. Because then you’re just wasting talent for a different show.

If you have an overrun every show, that is your show, it isn't special.

If they can clearly hit that type of quality without much fan drop off then 3 hours is doable

Wrestling in general should. Too many hours of programming. Shows are too long.

Alvarez, its like life. Its unpredictable. Who cares if they have over runs. It actually is more realistic that way.

Why is Alvarez so crusty? Like I get that the IWC can (and are) crusty, but man, Brian needs to chill. Like he’s happy about nothing. I give Brian, MINUS 5 STARS

The importance that was spoken for by AEW programming and commentators placed on the world championship segments suggested the possibility of a lax schedule, with the priority being the conflict being addressed and the dynamic between both duos of competitors being cemented…

While I usually agree with Bryan, I like Dave’s response here. That’s not bad logic about the main event. However, the over run went way too long and started with a promo….

The main event ending time can still be unpredictable without it being a 20-30min overrun so that’s not the reason. You can end 2min or 9min over any given week and the end is still unpredictable as soon as 2hrs passes.

Fuck no. Every other company, not just wrestling, is following that model and going backwards. People are sick of less, especially when attending events. We always want more.
