Ross has made a decision

A few highlights from @Daniel_SuarezG's interview with @DGodfatherMoody on @SiriusXMNASCAR: "I want to make sure that you guys and all the people listening (know) I'm not sad for this. This is just a new chapter. That's all it is. ... This is not a sad moment, it's just a change." Says he doesn't know what is next but he has a smile on his face and doesn't want people to feel bad for him. Says Trackhouse was his best home in NASCAR but it ran its cycle and nothing is forever. "This is not something new for me. I have known about this for awhile. It just happens to be official today. I'm actually a little bit relieved it's already out and people know about it and we can talk about it and we can move forward with future plans." Says he could see better performance going forward this season that this is out in the open and not a secret. Says he's been on the phone all day after the decision became official yesterday. "Things change. People change. Companies change. And it's part of life. There are certainly no hard feelings about that." Praises Trackhouse's expansion into areas like MotoGP and growing a global brand but notes "all these things come with tradeoffs." Says he had lunch with his 99 team and "we vented out a little bit and cleared the air" and he feels the team is as hungry as ever.

No announcement on Connor Zilisch replacing Suarez but that is the expectation. Have heard of several drivers in the Xfinity garage angling for the JRM 88 car next year (and I would guess not to rule Suarez out if nothing materializes in Cup).
