No. It had zero impact on the play. At this point they are just throwing flags to throw flags. Also the roughing the passer call was BS. If you can’t literally out a hand on the QB they might as well be playing flag football. That goes for all the new roughing the passer calls.

Horrible call, but also a horrible decision to even touch somebody 15 to 20 yards behind the ball.

Unnecessary. The rule was implemented to protect players from violent hits when they weren't paying attention. In this instance, both players were looking at the play and Turner was actually slightly ahead of the TAMU player.
