Being real I've never taken a lady out and not paid the entire bill. Generation Z is just different.

Im sorry. Im team her on this one. Donโ€™t ask someone out on a date and split the bill. Go somewhere cheaper then or go on a coffee date first.

Red flags on both sides for this one. He should pay, but at the same time, if she's ordering extra appetizers on her own, she's probably using him for a free meal.

The guy should pay. It is the womanโ€™s job to let him set the price range since he is paying. So, the rule is the fellow tells her what he is ordering. She, in turn, orders a meal of equivalent or lesser cost to his. Old school decorum kept this stuff from happening because each person understood what was expected of them. Unlike this date that spiraled into chaos.

Yes I would if I asked her out... His reason of "you ordered an appetizer that I didn't touch" is weak and ridiculous. Sidenote... was he not interested in having a "nightcap" with her later... because he definitely threw that shot out the window. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I actually agree with him - splitting the bill on the first date when meeting online takes pressure off both people.
