Should Halo be Rebooted?

Just want to mention that I loved Halo 4 (don’t cruciwort me) But everything after was complete disappointment evolved.

343 Halo is nothing but Fan fiction. They're not even the same genre as Bungie Halo

I think instead of a reboot just make a real halo 4. Recognize 343 isn't cannon and March forward.

Scrap the story of 4 and everything after BUT we should keep some of 4 & 5s“assets”

Preserve the original Trilogy. Treat 4 onward as apocryphal. Don’t make a new 4, but instead launch a new story with a new protagonist.

I’m with chief on this one. Sure, a reboot might be a good idea to fix up some things, but in the name of Combat Evolve I hope they do it right.

I'll be honest I love reading fall of reach, first strike, the flood. But you didn't need them to understand the storyline of Halo all the way up to Halo 3. I think the books should always be used to expand the universe not make it mandatory for story

About time someone said it. Halo needs a massive reboot. Hot take l, but I think its time we give Master Chief a rest. I think it would be much better for them to do stuff like they did with ODST and Reach.

Full reboot, same beats but different story (don't just remake it.) And before you start it, write the script (or at least the overaching plot) for at least the next full trilogy (if not the entire intended series) then stick to it. Don't just plan things 1 gane at a time.

Very true. I remember the old books. They didnt explain the story they just gave us more world building and character backstories like the fall of reach for example

I hate the "you need to read the books" nonsense. I didn't read the books before playing the games, and I still understood everything. I admit they help bridge the stories heavily, but it's still perfectly understandable without them.
