No, the animals they hunt in the name of sport need the protection. How can people find it acceptable to chase an animal until it's exhausted and then allow it to be ripped apart, they are sick.

The ‘hunted’ should be a protected minority. The hunters should be in jail.

Hunters are perhaps a minority: of sadistic, sociopathic, blood-lusted barbarians. Should they be protected, absolutely not. They should be locked up, fined, and become the hunted, not the hunters.

This world is full of stupid uncaring people. Hunting in all its vile forms needs to be made a criminal offence. Those caught should face prison sentences of at least two years on first offence. Harsh but the only way to stop it.
