Immigration lawyers/brokers joke that IRCC’s website functionality is so poor it seems designed to keep them in business. With my PR hat on; it’s a bad look for IRCC’s spox to be laughing in the set-up. This is a serious issue for people trying to navigate a complex system

The government of Canada should consider creating an easier pathway to permanent residency for Iranians, given the human rights violations, killings in Iran, and the lack of safety for Iranian people in their country. #Reza Pahlavi #Iranian @MarkJCarney @CBCNews @globalnews

Miami hotel has outsourced their front desk to India. Guests are checked in virtually on video call with an Indian representative More American jobs outsourced overseas. At some point this should just become illegal. If you make money in America, you should hire Americans

Immigration enriches our society and benefits our economy. Changing settlement rules will have financial consequences for us all - this video explains why and how. If truth matters to you when it comes to immigration policy pass it on. All data quoted in this video from the Migration Advisory Committee.

Now is a time for strength. This is our moment to stand up and protect our country. And if you have a representative who refuses to protect you and your family, then you should primary them. Because this country cannot afford weakness right now. Not after what these radicals did to Charlie.

Patrick Collison on the importance of waiting a really long time to hire people Everybody tells you “work really hard to hire the best people.” But as Patrick explains, that’s not helpful because everyone knows they should do that. As he puts it: “The question is to what length should you go and what does that actually mean in practice? And in practice, it means being okay waiting a really long time to hire people.” It took Stripe six months to hire their first two people, and six more months to hire another 3-4 people. He can think of five people at Stripe who took 3+ years to hire. “If you think about the smartest people you know, if you want to get them to work on your thing, chances are they already have pretty good paths ahead of them… You have to be way more persistent and be okay with it taking way longer than any sane or reasonable person would think it should take.” There’s an important compounding effect here — hiring just one great person will make it marginally easier to get the next great person. Patrick argues you should also view every person you hire as bringing along another 50 people just like them if your company is successful: “Even if they don’t literally hire 50 people, they will be so influential in determining the selection of those 50 people.” Source: Greylock Partners (Nov 2015)

🚨 JUST IN: Rep. Nancy Mace INFURIATES Democrat witness in Minnesota fraud hearing, he can't believe someone would want Somalis deported MACE: "Should Somalis who committed fraud be denaturalized and deported?" DEM: "That's an inappropriate question!" MACE: "So if you commit fraud in this country and you are here from Somalia, you don't believe they should be denaturalized and deported?! How much fraud would it take for you to want to denaturalize and deport someone who committed fraud in this country? How much?" DEM: "Again-" MACE: "A billion? Nine billion? Nineteen billion? What would it take for you?" DEM: "Most Somali Minnesotans are citizens." MACE: "The ones that committed fraud, the question was if you understand English, should be those who committed fraud, should they be denaturalized and deported? The Somalians who are here, the ones that can't speak English." DEM: "Under US law-" MACE: "My next question is, this is yes or no, if you marry your brother and you commit immigration fraud, should you be denaturalized and deported?" DEM: "Again, that question seems really inappropriate!!" MACE: "Well, you can't answer my question so that's probably more inappropriate. Can you name one significant contribution to Minnesota from a Somali immigrant who can't speak English?" DEM: "Absolutely, yes, but again, this is-" MACE: "You didn't name one." Nancy Mace LMFAO this guy is pathetic😭😭

🚨ELON MUSK: "It is easier to get into this country as a murderer than a Nobel Laureate. What? If you had an opportunity to have Steph Curry on your team, of course you would take him. We want legal immigration of honest hardworking people to be quick and easy, and illegal immigration should be hard. That's how it SHOULD be."
