Should Luisangel Acuna be the opening day second basemen?

Baty is still learning the position and Acuna has elite defense. It has to be Acuna, but Baty gets the utility roll.

I like his potential.

I was all Baty. But batys defense concerned me yesterday. I think Acuna is the best solution. Or platoon with Baty.

What happens if he does poorly? What if the last 6 games of the season, postseason, and Spring Training are indicative of pitchers figuring him out?

While baty has been hitting much better than acuna this spring, the defense at second is meh. I would rather see acuna at second becauze i know he can handle it defensively.

Acuna should get everyday 2B job. Let’s see what we have. Or if @Mets feel strongly then give it to Baty. But don’t do half assed mix up. Young players need to PLAY & if that means AAA then so be it.

He’s not earned it and it looks like Baty is going to get a chance first.
