Do Not Trust the Opinions of Those Youth Who Isolate Themselves from the Established Salafī Centres Al-ʿAllāmah Ḥasan ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Banná admonishes those who isolate themselves from the Salafī duʿat and elders. [Q]: Likewise Shaykh, when these students return from either Makkah, Riyāḍ or al-Madīnah, they return claiming salafiyyah but they isolate themselves from the established Salafīs (i.e. elders). For example, they isolate themselves from the likes of Abū Khadījah and Abū Ḥakīm, [and] in Canada they isolate themselves from the Salafīs at Masjid al-Furqān (TROID). [A]: Do you mean they speak ill of them? [Q]: Yes. [A]: The people of innovation speak ill about Ahl al-Sunnah. Abū Khadījah is from ʿAhl al-Sunnah, Abū Ḥakīm Bilāl is from Ahl al-Sunnah, and Ḥasan al-Ṣumālī is from Ahl al-Sunnah. They are from the callers of Ahl al-Sunnah — this is something which is well-known. If they err, we will tell them to retract their error, and they will retract. So why do you speak ill of them? Do you want to cause fitnah for them? Do you want to deter the people from them? The people of Sunnah are few in number, how can you speak ill about the people of Sunnah? Those who speak against the people of Sunnah are not from them. Rather, they concur with the people of innovation. So my dear brothers, do not speak ill of these Duʿāt, the likes of Abū Khadījah and other than him, because they are from the callers of Ahl al-Sunnah. If they err, we will tell them to retract. Do not try to discredit them and ruin their reputation because this is something that hurts the People of Sunnah. Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar Announces Eid-ul-Fitr Prayers at Eidgah at 10:00 AM Urges Authorities Not to Create Hindrance; .Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Reviews Arrangements at Eidgah Srinagar, March 30, 2025: Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar has announced that, as per Islamic tradition, the Eid-ul-Fitr congregational prayers will be offered at the historic Eidgah Srinagar at 10:00 AM, inshallah, following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Anjuman informed that the Eid sermon (خطبة عید) will be delivered by Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq at 9:00 AM. People are requested to reach Eidgah early to benefit from the sermon and participate in the collective prayers. The Auqaf expressed hope that the authorities will not create any interference or obstacles and will facilitate the smooth conduct of Eid prayers at Eidgah, respecting the religious sentiments and rights of the people. It strongly urged that no attempt should be made to disallow the prayers, as witnessed on Shab-e-Qadr and Jumat-ul-Vida, which caused widespread resentment and hurt among the people. It is expected that such actions will not be repeated on this sacred occasion. In preparation, Anjuman Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq visited Eidgah Srinagar to personally review the arrangements and ground conditions. After inspecting the site, he expressed satisfaction that, with the prevailing dry weather, the Eid congregation can be held smoothly. In contrast if he was to sit with an ʿĀlim [scholar], even briefly, he will not leave him except that he has learnt something.” 📚 Abū Nuʿaym Ḥilyah al Awlīyā (2/287) Unfortunately today we have people who refer to themselves as “Duʿāt” who not only busy the people with stories, but stories of Fawāḥish i.e. lewdness and depravity. Not because of any benefit they can derive from it that they can’t find somewhere else, but because of its shock factor, its ability to garner views, and make for clickbait videos. Things you can’t imagine someone would say in a Masjid or to audience with children. These people are قطاع الطرق [highway robbers] on the path of knowledge. They cut you off from the ʿUlema [scholars] by presenting themselves before you as legitimate sources of knowledge, whilst in reality they rob you of your intellect with these stories that waste your time and erode your shame. May Allah protect us from their harm!

With due respect to Shaykh al-Albānī رحمه الله رحمة واسعة, the ulama who studied the tarīkh of Fiqh and Usūl al-Fiqh will have easily refuted these claims and points and it shows the Shaykh’s lack of adequate knowledge on the formation and understanding of how the Madhāhib started. Shaykh Kamaluddīn Zafree al-Athari, the senior student of Shaykh Ibn Bāz explains that even the Sahāba had Madhabs, this was well known. The school of Kūfa which was built upon the Madhab and Fiqh of Ibn Mas’ūd and Alī for example, the Madhab of Madīna which was built upon the Fiqh of Ibn Umar and Zayd, the Madhab of Mecca which was built upon the Fiqh of Ibn Abbās, the Madhab of Shām which was built upon the Fiqh of Abū Saīd al-Khudrī, Abu Dharr, Amr Ibn al-Ās and Mu’āwiyyah Each of these Sahāba’s Fiqh and Madhāhib were the original schools which where built upon and extended by those Mujtahidūn that came after them who used the Fiqh of these Sahāba as a basis. Very rarely you will see for example Abu Hanīfah’s Fiqh differ from that of Ibrahīm al-Nakha’i or Alqama who followed the Fiqh of Ibn Masud, this is elobarated by Shah Walīullah Dihlawī in his Hujja al-Bālighah where he mentions the basis of Abu Hanīfah’s views are found in the statement of al-Nakha’ī

On the fourteenth night of the month of Ramadan, 1447 AH, at Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah, after the Taraweeh prayer, we were honored to meet Shaykh Faisal Ahmad Al-Nadwi. We received from him ijazah in the musalsal narrations and all of his other narrations, and we read before him the opening portions of the six major books of Hadith, along with some shuyukh from the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia. This is just so stupid. When have we started calling Police on those studying Arabic and Islamic studies? Like, do you call Police on those who go to Goethe-Institute to learn German? Do you call Police on those who go to Alliance Francais to learn French? Do you call Police on those who go to Confucius Institute to learn Chinese? And who told you when many finish from these institutions, that is the only thing they do? None of them goes to universities, or polytechnics or learns a trade? So, if anyone goes to Theology School, we should start calling Police on him. Like, what sort of Islamophobia is this that you make a video of people in a learning institution and ask "government" and Police to be wary.

This is Rishi Sunak saying everything about universities that I have dedicated my platform to. Universities are OVERRATED!!! 90-95% of the students studying Microbiology, Biochemistry, Botany etc were rejected by Medicine, Nursing etc and dumped into these departments to study those courses. Students who set out to study LAW suddenly find their names on CRS, Islamic studies etc merit list. The Universities are ripping them off! They graduate from these courses and there’s nowhere they want to apply the knowledge either home or abroad. There are 1.8 million students in Nigerian universities!!! 1.8 students!!! What are they studying? Most of them become self-made WhatsApp business entrepreneurs or eventually go back to learn skills. So, 4years+x of their lives wasted gaining unnecessary knowledge all because the university wants to rip them off and their parents wants them to attend the university by “tipa tipa by fire” so they can brag. We don’t need MORE universities or university graduates, we need more vocational education institutions. We need to stop these universities from churning out empty heads with certificates and start thinking how we can train them with real life skills. Dear Bola Ahmed Tinubu for your attention.
