Silly to ask that question. He was drafted the year after Luka. Dude is still young.

And bring whom? He is performing well and it’s exactly what we need. With or without Luka, he is good. He has had his downs like every other player in the league but overall he is great. Kidd just needs to find ways to keep him motivated and trust him.

#Mavs getting the best center play in franchise history from young guy on a good contract at a position with two injury-prone other players. Gafford is a threat to lead league in FG% & blocks per min, loves being here, & gets fans & teammates hyped. Why is this a talking point?

I just don't understand what anyone's solution is of we trade him for let's say even someone as good as Herb Jones. Because then what? Are you moving Klay to the bench to make him unhappy and then just running a shit center like Powell out there? It's just not ideal at all

While the numbers are looking great Mavs are just 4-4 in the last 8 and 4-6 in the last 10. If a trade of Gafford is necessary to get an Allstar caliber like Myles Turner.. it‘s not easy to upgrade this roster anymore.
