@wyshynski They should 100% go to the 3-2-1-0 point system. How it works now is outdated. 3-2-1-0 will make regulation wins mean so much more and encourage winning games in regulation rather than forcing overtime.

@wyshynski 3 points for a regulation win, 2 points for an OT win and 1 point for a shootout win and NO loser point.

@wyshynski Who actually dislikes this? Losers deserve nothing. Shootout wins are worth too much. Every fan feels this way, no?

@wyshynski Yes definitely!!

@wyshynski 3pts reg win 2pts OT win 1pt SO win 0pts loss Emphasize trying to win the game as early as possible.

@wyshynski The KHL tried it for a few seasons but then switched to the NHL’s system. The problem was likely threefold: 1) Top teams would bank so many points that’d they end up having to play meaningless games much earlier in a season.

@rickgethin @wyshynski 1000% they should.

@wyshynski Let’s grow up and accept that sometimes games should end without a winner.

@wyshynski Yes.

@wyshynski Yes they should
