Which other sport have 3 games in final? A final is a final. It should always be 1 game. Bring your best game, add a bit of luck sprinkle some uncertainty, that’s what makes it exciting.

It has alot of potential but the format atm is a shambles tbh. Everyone should be playing the same amount of matches home and away. 3 or 4 test series. 4 year cycle to fit it all in and final can be a 3 test series or 1 match doesn't make to much of a difference.

Absolutely it should. Best of 3. If you win 2 in a row you don't play the 3rd. At Lords mid-year. Done.

More preferable, but easier to say than to do. Where to find 4 weeks spare on the calendar for a series you don’t know you’ll be in? Future tours programs go out window, have to be re-scheduled etc. imagine we play WTC final 3 tests then have ashes 5 tests right after like 2023

It's like saying there shouldn't be a final for ODIs and T20 WCs, which have a three-match series between finalists.

I think there is no need of final. Those team with at top should be given the championship. In that way they will treat each test match important one.
