The Assistant Referee raised his flag vertically first then lowered it to horizontal. This is the signal for offside, not a goal kick. For a goal kick the flag is only raised horizontally. The goal was disallowed for offside. This could and should have been overturned by VAR.

This game: VAR fails so the onfield decision stands to the detriment of Celtic. Last game: VAR fails and onfield decision is overruled to the detriment of Celtic. The only constant is at the start of every season the decisions are to the detriment of Celtic. VAR is shite.

You know it should have stood.

I agree with the two ex-Rangers players, Andy Halliday and Steven Thompson, it was incorrectly ruled out and was a goal. Meanwhile, at Ibrox, St Mirren denied a stonewall penalty. There’s definitely attempts to help the Ibrox side, it’s every week!

Considering the fact Celtic cheated their way to last season's title, I think everyone agrees the goal should not have stood.

It was clear and obvious cheating from the linesman There was a pattern to his performance He should be vetted to see what club he follows

Sky showed a camera angle along the line last night and the ball was miles in! The question is…… how the fuck does VAR not have access to all of Sky’s cameras???

Same thing happened last season. Loads of incorrect decisions against Celtic during the early part of the campaign, then when they finally started getting correct decisions based on merit all the Hearts fans were up in arms. Will be same again this season come what May.

The officiating in Scotland is a joke and usually at Celtic's expense. That much is obvious. Mugs pay money to watch this crap.

The ref blew the whistle before the shot was taken, so no goal. It’s clear from the angle behind the player, why is it even a question

Standing in line…for fucks sake…what’s the point of linesmen…ditch them and spend it on cameras…absolute guesswork every time

Should have stood. Looks like the linesman gave offside here. He wouldn't wait until the phase of play was over to raise his flag for the ball going out of play.

Yes. But instead of focusing on the fact it was wrongly disallowed, we’ve got people fixated on why the original bad decision needs to stand.

As a Gers fan, the goal should’ve stood.Whether it’s in or out is irrelevant,it should’ve stood, just because it’s Celtic. They’ve been robbed and victimised for decades now, and anything that goes against them is just wrong. And probably illegal, because they’re Celtic and victims.

Both stills of the ball leaving the frame and coming back into it. I don’t think at all, that ball has gone out but due to VAR being shit in Scotland, we can’t prove otherwise. All I can say here is the rule is being correctly applied, but just unfortunately getting wrong result

Yup. But obviously @ScottishFA have too keep the title ' race' competitive. 3 goals, two games, all legit. There's a pattern here. ...and elsewhere.

The real question is when should VAR overrule the onfield decision. In Celtic's last 2 game we've had 2 contradictory decisions where the onfield decision was overruled by VAR intervention. They can't both be right.

Oh no! A marginal decision that went against Celtic. I trust Tom English and Michael Stewart will argue about it for an hour on Saturday afternoon?

It was some whip to go out of play and come back into play over 20 metres when it was played from 2.5m from the end line. Linesman flagged too early

What ball?

Profilbild von Dr Stuart Buchan
Dr Stuart Buchanvor 1 Tag

No because the linesman had flagged that the ball had swerved out of play before it was headed by Høgh. This couldn't be confirmed by VAR as the ball wasn't caught in camera, so the on-field decision remained.
