Bringing some manufacturing back for national security reasons is good but that’s better done with subsidies not tariffs

Robot workers in 3-5 years are planned by the companies building these factories. Jobs coming are temporary construction ones for 2-3 years. We should bring back manufacturing, but it’s not for jobs. Now we’ve just screwed US consumers over before the labor displacement starts

The reason it costs more is because of US labor laws and regulations, companies avoid that by producing things outside of the US, companies that can't have to abide by US regulations and are at an extreme disadvantage and that should be offset.
